  • Yeah, this is something I also have to watch out for. My uncle and my mom both have diabetes, which makes my risk high from what I understand. After seeing what they go through that's the last thing I want to deal with during a pregnancy!
  • The thin girl you used to be so jealous of is now bigger than you are.
  • I tried Greek yogurt for the first time ever just about an hour ago. I didn't really enjoy it. I have another little container in my fridge. I'll have to try it some of the ways you all mentioned! Sounds good with sugar free preserves or a little bit of flavored honey.

  • I  the ideas in the cookbook, so I use the recipes but add more spices or use the brands that I prefer (and then recalculate the nutritional facts). My fave is the spicy taco tuna salad. I put it on a wrap with some shredded cheese, fat free sour cream, fresh chopped tomato and spinach.
  • So...Saturday grocery shopping and planting a garden (2 hours! says i burned almost 600 calories doing that :noway: ), Sunday company and Monday BBQ....no shredding over the weekend. I barely had time to put my calories in! I just found out that we're ramping up at work this week so I have to be in at 6 am every morning…
  • I'm 5'7" and my goal weight is 145. I was 135 lbs at one point but now that I look at pictures from back then I think that may have been too low for my frame. I will reevaluate when I reach my current goal.
  • So level 2 totally busted my butt and I took a break from shredding yesterday to walk for an hour instead because I was so sore. I feel like I overdid it. This morning I did level 1 advanced and I think I need to stay there for at least a couple more days for my arms and legs sake. I'm really proud of myself because I've…
  • :flowerforyou: None taken! I always need a little more pushing, especially if it means I'm having to get up earlier each day to do something. I appreciate it. Btw, I did both and I got up this morning and did Level 2!
  • I overslept this morning and now my whole day has been out of whack. :grumble: I promised DH that we would go for a long walk with the dog after I get off of work today so maybe I will take today off from shredding.
  • Woohoo! I DID IT! I so thought I would just roll over and slap the alarm clock but instead i jumped right out of bed and got the day started right! Level 1 Day 1 done!
  • Weight: 164.4 (lost 2 lbs last week! woohoo!) Hips: 43 Thigh: 25 Calves: 16.5 Biceps: 13.5 (I'm not reporting all of my measurements, just the ones I really want to see get smaller.)
  • Thanks Jennifer for posting this....excellent site! But oh did it make me hungry just reading the recipes!
  • This is so awesome! Such an inspiring story to hear how happy the two of you are and sharing the same goal too! :drinker: :flowerforyou: :drinker: :flowerforyou:
  • I'm in. I purchased the exercise mat, the weights and the video last week. I need to get my butt out of bed in the morning and do it before work. :grumble: Please help motivate me!
  • Yummmm....Meg that sounds like a great lunch! I'll try that one tomorrow. I'll also have to try the hummus idea too.
  • I reward myself by leaving the housework and stress behind and hiking to a waterfall or taking a pleasant trip to the park with my doggy. These things make me happy and I get extra exercise in too!
  • I went through this with my wedding...and with my ENTIRE family. No one in my family had had a wedding for over a decade and they all had visions of tulle and roses (not what I had in mind). Some things I went behind their backs on, surprising them with my own (already created) ideas at the last minute, and some things I…
  • When I'm having a rough day and start reaching for snacks, I have to realize that there are other ways of dealing with my feelings than to eat and eat and eat and that is to talk to someone who I know will listen. This is usually someone that is not a family member and has also come to me for advice in the past as well. I…
  • A few years ago I was having a bad day before my day had even really begun, so I went to the mess hall at school to get some comfort food for breakfast. I was in the middle of eating pancakes and bacon and a friend of my ex walked by, did a double take and said "Hey! Jeff was right, you have gotten fat!" What was really…
  • Just finished off my BS in Fashion Product Development in May. Currently working in product development at a manufacturing facility that provides jobs to those who have lost their ability to see.
  • Do not starve yourself. You may lose weight, but when you go back to eating you will gain pound upon pound, and then you'll be exactly where you started because your body will be in the worst kind of starvation mode. Believe me...I've been there and done that and all I got was this stinking 40 extra pounds. :explode:
  • i l-o-v-e tips like this! thanks
  • Sloopy Farkletush!
  • CHOCOLATE!!! I really like those yoplait whips chocolate mouse and then I put some smucker's low sugar strawberry preserves in it and mix it up....soooo good.
  • I don't know the answers to your questions, but I do want to say congratulations and that I'm extremely happy for you!
  • Oops! I forgot to mention that DH and I were married on June 16th of last year. So I was the largest I had ever been on my wedding day, but that's all behind now and I know I need to loose this weight the healthy way, even if it is after the wedding pictures. It was still the happiest day of my life!!!
  • When I was i high school I began starving myself and I lost down to 100 lbs. I was keeping myself at a maximum of 600 calories a day. I starved myself habitually until the beginning of my sophomore year of college when classes got harder and unhealthy mochas and pizzas were easily accessible to keep me awake long periods…
