Cheesecake. I like it, but it is so rich.

I also saw that Costco started carrying riced cauliflower in their refrigerated produce section. I bought some and used it to stretch some burrito filling. No one noticed at all.

There was a time when my weight was stable, I was never hungry, and was not food obsessed per se. That was when I was 210lbs. Makes sense, for a person of my height (5'5"), that was a decent number of calories for a very lightly active lifestyle. I've accepted that it will always probably be a struggle for me to not be…

Fresh, hot off the grill flatbread buttered with either buffalo or freshly churned summer pasture Jersey cattle butter, stuffed with pecorino romano, bresaola, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, and fresh arugula. I think if I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, this would be well in the running. For dessert, Costco…

During the workweek, between 500 - 700 a day. These calories I generally horde for Friday/Saturday or if I know I have some trip coming up and need a big hole.
-
Do what I do before any eating event: dig a calorie hole and stay active.
-
I'd stop eating.

New to me product: oat fiber. This is not to be confused with oat flour. Oat fiber is nothing but the indigestible cellulose, so no calories. It has an interesting smell - cross between oatmeal and cardboard. :D I started using this in pancakes in a 1:8 flour to oat fiber ratio. You can't taste any difference at all. No…

I've done egg whites in oatmeal. Never noticed any difference in texture or flavor.

I think I have gotten bored with cheat days or food in general. Nothing really sounds all that great or binge worthy anymore. Also, my ability to eat a lot in general in one sitting is no longer there. It is shocking to me sometimes how little I can stomach in one sitting lately. I have Friday off and will be alone at…

No, I just do it the same way as I make Greek yogurt, but I use a skyr starter. Icelandic Provisions when I can find it, but if not, Siggis or whatever. Something to note about skyr is that if you lengthen the incubation time to 18 hours or so, you will get cheese after straining. It is extremely thick, heavy, like having…

I was at World Market last weekend and saw bags of WM brand brine in a basket. No price, no specified animal use, no instructions, but the ingredients looked good. Apparently this product does not exist because I can't find a pic of it anywhere. The labeled turkey brine they sell seems to be basically the same thing. I…

Greek yogurt, skyr, ricotta, paneer, and baked sweet/russet potatoes. That is about 90% of what I use mine for and it is running most days of the week to keep me in delicious dairy products. I maybe make potatoes with mine once or twice a month, but they are great when I do!

Did some endurance running today and yesterday. Yesterday 14km + 1m cool down and today 15km + 1m cool down. I normally don't have time to do more than 4 miles at one go, so doing 9 was...interesting. I woke up this morning with muscles I have never noticed in my life complaining. My whole neck, front to back is sore,…

I like making wraps with it. I took an Ole xTreme Wellness wrap and put some homemade, low sugar cranberry sauce on it. Then I put some shredded turkey breast in a bowl with 2tbls of low fat Greek yogurt and Dijion mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix and then put in on top of the cranberry sauce and then I topped off with some…

Getting out of breath is normal if you are actually putting in the work into something you have no endurance yet for. I don't have any problems with my lungs or heart, but back when I was not in any kind of shape, yes, it was hard - huffing, puffing, wishing I was dead, how have I only gone a tenth of a mile in what seems…

Apparently not. Today is not an eating day. 1) Woke up not hungry - bad sign. 2) Ran 14km + 1mile cool down. Running like that always kills my appetite dead for a few hours. 3) I made all the food myself, so I know I ate around 1200-1300 cals so far. 4) That was 5.5 hours ago and I still am not hungry and the thought of…

Internal clock doesn't understand holidays, so I was up at 5:45am anyway and went to gym. Ran 14km and walked 1 mile as cool down. Burned about 1000 calories and then ate those. But I am in the hole about 5500 calories today, so whatever.
-
No, but they aren't supposed to as far as I know.
-
17-19k or so, but the lion's share of those steps are ran. 2500 or so steps a mile and I run about 5-7 miles a day.

Coke Zero by far. It mixes the best with bourbon or spiced rum. If I wouldn't die of alcohol poisoning, I'd drink Coke Zero and Evan Williams all day long. Diet Dr. Pepper is my non-alcoholic fav. I haven't found anything that really mixes well with it. Diet 7UP is also pretty decent and mixes well with gin.

If I get up early enough, I plan on going into the gym at work and running 10k. But if I don't, then I guess I am taking the day off because it is going to downpour most of tomorrow - running or walking outside is not a real option. If it was light rain, maybe, but heavy rain in 40-50F degree temps is...yeah, no.…

In-n-Out, Panda Express, and Chipolte off the top of my head. I've never actually been to Panera or Jimmy Johns, but I have been brought them to me free at work. I really don't have a lot of interest to eat at those places or any fast food joint anymore either. If I am out traveling, I'd rather just stop by a supermarket…

Most of the stuff at Thanksgiving, I eat year round anyway, so I can't see completely losing it at all. I am making everything, so I control the calories. I am planning on eating my favorite holiday sandwich - turkey breast, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on a Hawaiian roll. I'll probably bake some sweet potato fries to go…

If it wasn't for my 10 year old daughter insisting on a traditional dinner (just us three, no family for 2000 miles), I'd be eating a huge bowl of chana masala with some naan. Or some kind of tomato, basil, and goat cheese salad with fresh grilled pita bread.

I think I am going with a Hawaiian themed Thanksgiving: Kalua chicken Spicy ahi poke Hawaiian sweet rolls Baked sweet potatoes Ginger wasabi chips Some type of green salad to balance out the meal Fresh pineapple Hawaiian beer Passionfruit Island Lava Salted caramel pie (assuming Fred Meyer is still selling this - only buy…

Applesauce cake or apple cobbler. I spent some time yesterday trying to figure out how to reduce calories in a pecan pie. Only subs I could figure out that might work is sugar free maple syrup for corn syrup and Swerve for any additional sugar. The main problem with the pie is all the rest of it. Pecans are calorie bombs,…
