Egg in porridge/oatmeal...anyone tried it?

    I've done egg whites in oatmeal. Never noticed any difference in texture or flavor.

    I've added egg to cream of wheat and cornmeal mush, with delicious results, but haven't tried the oatmeal yet. Will have to give it a go.

    With the hot cereals, the trick to not having any lumps of egg is to beat the egg first and then whisk the cereal/porridge while you're adding the egg. Pretty much turns into a custard.

    Savory oats are quite tasty :) I put some cheddar and Chili Garlic sauce in my oats, then a couple over easy eggs on top. Delicious!
