  • Just finished my first 5k!! 38:11 not too bad for being on week 7 of c25k :) can't believe I just jogged a 5k
  • W7d2 today. My sister is in town from Texas because we are doing a 5k together Sunday. I'm so excited for it and hope I can finish but running with someone did take some adjusting. :)
  • Congrats! Getting started is the hardest part and I agree with the person above me, the c25k board on here is full of supportive people that have all been where you are and that have great advice. Come join us over there :)
  • W7d1 completed :) feels amazing to get through it everytime I think I cant. Everyone keep up the hard work, it's so worth it
  • My first race is on Sunday and I'm in week 7 so I know how you feel. I think you just need to go into it being confident. There's probably no way you will be last so Sony even worry about it. Good luck btw!
  • Wrong thread :/ sorry
  • W7d1 done! 25 minutes straight. Woo woo. Feels amazing :) everyone keep up the good work its so worth it.
  • Love this!!
  • Thank you! I hope everyone here gets to experience a moment like that. And really if it wasn't for the people on this board I'm not sure I would have made it so far.
  • So...I don't mean to brag... But I'm totally about to. Haha sorry. I just finished w6d3 and I ran the 22 minutes without stopping.., and then I continued running through most of the cool down, and then I walke until I got to the 3.1 mile mark :) I feel amazing. My first 5k is next Sunday and I was so worried bc I never…
  • Thank you!
  • W6d2 finished!! Still can't believe I have stuck with something for this long! Lol! My run went great, I wanted to give up most of the way but I made it threw and I even really picked up my pace in the last minute. I feel great :) excited for the 22 minutes on Friday.
  • Ugh I have been slacking. Haven't run since I did the 20 minute on Thursday, I'm really trying to talk myself into getting out there tonight but ugggh I don't know where all my motivation went! Haha
  • I totally agree with the poster above me. I just did the 20 minute run 2 days ago and now I'm not scared to move forward where before I was dreading every new week
  • I'm 5'6 and currently eat between 1300-1650 most days. I'm steadily losing about 1.5 lbs per week
  • I struggle threw every single run but am usually able to make it until the end. The 20 minute run took me 2 tries but that's okay. Everyone.... And I do mean Everyone has bad runs. If you feel like you need to re-do the week there is no shame in that! But you might surprise yourself if you keep pushing forward. Good luck!…
  • I have an iPhone also and I just downloaded a pedometer and run that at the same time as the c25k... I'm sure it's not super accurate but I think it's close enough
  • I normally do the Jillian micheals 30 day shred on my non run days... But I usually rest once a week, not on a set day though, it just depends on how I'm feeling and what's going on for the day.

  • I run outside usually around my neighborhood or on a bike path a few blocks away. Occasionally I will go to the forest preserve and run on the bike paths there, that's deffinatly my favorite
  • Today was attempt 2 at w5d3 and I nailed it!!! I never thought I would ever run for 20 minutes straight! I feel great and am so proud of myself!!
  • So I just attempted w5d3 and I failed miserably. I attempted to run it in the 90 degree heat though and I have never ran with it nearly close to that hot. I refuse to let this get me down though. I made it threw 15 of the 20 minutes and that in itself is an accomplishment. Next time I know I will make it threw it, I'll…
  • I was terrified going into week 4! I was sure there was no way I would be able to complete it, but I did! Just try your best and remember that the worst thing that could happen is that you'll have to walk a little... And so what? Atleast your out there doing it. You will surprise yourself every single week with what you…
  • Congrats on starting! That's the headrest part. Hopefully you will find the people here as encouraging and supportive as I have :)
  • Thank you for posting this. Very inspiring and very true. When I'm out running and feeling like I'm going to die and I see another runner, all I've gotten are smiles of encouragement!
  • Awesome job on your race!! Just finished w5d2.... The infamous w5d3 is next, and I'm not ganna lie. I'm nervous but I plan on gettin through it just like I have every other run. When I think I can't run any more I'm just going to keep running haha. Wish me luck!!
  • For the ladies that use jogging strollers, how old do you think is too il to out your baby in it and go for a run? I really want one but my daughter is 19 months and I'm afraid it will be a waste of money at this point
  • I started at basically the same stats as you, 5'6.5 and 203... I did the 30ds and completed it and now do the c25k program and do 30ds on my non run days... I have been on Mfp for 45 days and have lost about 13 lbs since joining but that was halfway through the 30ds program so in total I've lost 25 lbs. I love the 30ds bc…
  • I'm planning on going out and starting week 5 in just a minute here. It's raining and I'm pretty excited haha. Hopefully it doesn't weigh me down!
  • I do the Jillian micheals 30 day shred. I love her workouts and its the only video I've been able to stick to so far
  • To the poster who said they wanted to work out on non run days, I do the 30 day shred on my non run days. I completed the 30 days before I started c25k and now I just pick a level and do it. It's tough but I feel like its making me so much stronger. But maybe I need to back off of it a little because my knees hurt…
