  • He could be trying to be helpful. I pack my huband's lunches for him and cook most evenings (I weigh and measure and log for us both too) because I know he finds it easier if I do this for us. If you have been logging for over a year and complaining you have not lost any weight etc he could be trying to help. However if…
  • It depends on how consistent you are. I've lost 20lb in 6 months (5ft tall and 140lb down to 120lb) but that was strict diet and exercise. I gained and started over at 140 and got to 118 but with smaller changes and have maintained at 120 for the last year BUT it took 2 years with the smaller changes. It was aslo easier to…
  • Same with sun-dried tomatoes! The oil is a pain to log and the calories are listed as "per 100g drained" but how drained is drained when it comes to oil? Is it so the oil no ,longer drips or on a paper towel and patted dry?? I feel your pain and I'm interested to see others solution to this!!
  • I tried them and lost a small fortune, about 4lb of water weight that came straight back, some hair and the will to live. The majority were laxatives disguised as 'supplements' and the rest were vitamins that cost €70 a month and gave me nothing a balanced diet couldn't. Even the ones that are "proven" and "endorsed" are…
  • As long as nothing is peeking out, I don't care what others wear to the gym. However if a man or a woman is wearing something too revealing (as in they are in danger of falling out of their clothes and giving me an eyeful) them I'm not working out with them in my eye line.
  • I'm 5ft and maintaining at 120lb with 1,200 a day (my job is sedentary. As in, I sit at a desk and don't move for 40 hours a week) but when I do exercise I get to eat the calories back. I want to drop another 5lb, but dread the thoughts of having to cut any more calories and just can't find time to exercise this time of…
  • Dunno about UK but in Ireland we have Brennans "be good" at 60 cals a slice and hovis "nimble" at 54 cals a slice. Aldi and Lidl are also doing their own brand of these in some stores, so you could try there?
  • Eat an apple and drink a glass of warm water with a teaspoon of vinegar in it every night before bed. It causes a chemical reaction that neutralizes all the fat you ate that day and you'll never gain a pound!! (I had a friend who swore by this and to be fair she was as thin as a rail....until you looked closer and realized…
  • I tend to lose about a pound a month on this figure, so it's a little off, but then there are days I won't stick 100% to the 1,200 (I'll go 1,350 - 1,400 a few days a month). I don't have a timeline in mind so if the 118 takes a few months it's not a problem for me. It took me 2 years to lose the first 30lb. :)
  • I think it's about 12g per 100g drained. i'm not 100% sure though, I'll have to check the jar when I go home! :)
  • I'm going by what MFP gave me when I signed up 30lb ago. Stats are pretty much that. Office work, 30 years old and I almost cried at the result. It's not to hard to keep to the 1,200cal, I just like to be fairly accurate with my logging and keep oils etc to a minimum and focus on less calorie dense foods. I work out 3-5…
  • Yeah, I'm 1,200 a day (5ft tall, 123lb and losing half a lb a week). The depressing thing is my maintenance calories according to MFP are only 1270 (goal weight is 118), so even then I have very little wiggle room! :'(
  • Yeah, they are my favorite thing for lunch right now, but accuracy wise they are a nightmare!! :D
  • I love this! I'm 5ft and always wanted to be around 105 (having read somewhere as a teenager that this was Britney Spears weight), but realistically I've only ever been healthy at 115 minimum. I'm currently 120 (well, 124 this morning thanks to a weekend blow out, but I have a week to repair the damage) and have been…
  • Absolutely! I am very insecure when it comes to my work outs. Maybe its a former chubby girl thing, but I always feel like this in the gym. I feel like everyone knows the "system" and I don't. :D I have no issue taking advice from a pro though, someone who I know has studied and worked in the field. The trainers in my gym…
  • I'm wondering what is the context of you're wife getting mad? Is it like "Oh hey, I don't want you getting fit and healthy at all" or is it like "Hey, we have both been at work all day and I have just cooked a meal you don't want to eat and now there is a *kitten* ton of housework and stuff to do, but you are off to the…
  • I frequent a gym semi-regularly and it took me a long time to work up the confidence to venture into the free weights section and I still prefer to lift at home because I still feel really out of place and like I'm being judged. So if someone was to approach me and say "you are doing this wrong" or some variation of that,…
  • Tried it. All I lost was the will to live! Started counting calories about two months later. So far have lost about 20-25lb.
  • My work out is when my kid is asleep. usually just weights at the minute, a half hour a night is enough to make a difference over a few months. Good luck!!
  • I think there is a volume eaters thread on here if you search for it. That might be helpful?
  • 1: You hate cardio, do the weights instead! Weights will not make you "bulky" 2: Fluctuations happen. Get use to it. 3: There is no such thing as "I can't eat it, I'm on a diet" if you're sensible. 4: It's easier when someone is losing weight with you. 5: You didn't lose "just" a pound or a half a pound. You worked hard…
  • Yes I have and No, it's not!! It's just a mild laxative that tastes like grass and won't do anything at all. this is from someone who shelled out a small fortune on this crap before I realised it wasn't doing anything for me at all!!
  • Same here, I'm Kim and get called "Kimmy" by a lot of people. :|
  • All the carbz!
  • I see a lot of places market Wraps as 'healthy alternative' to plain white bread, but often they are still huge in calories and everything so you can end up having a much higher calorie lunch than you plan. I think a lot of people jump on the 'health' bandwagon and think 'healthy' means low calorie. Perfect example is the…
  • Umm, that's not a pregnancy test.... :|

  • You can pre log, but you will lose your streak I'm afraid.
  • So does this mean you couldn't put on Facebook/Twitter "This stuff is *kitten* and doesn't work" or you get sued??
