I'm not big on snacking but I get my protein (non dairy and non nut based in accordance with your tastes!) from tofu, whey protein added to things like shakes, eggs and things like beans and puy lentils. Hope that helps!

stews, stir fries, roasted veggies, curries, pasta dishes, roast dinners - the list is endless!

BAKLAVA! *drools* (middle eastern sweet pastries with pistachio nuts and honey)

To echo the comments of everyone else: I eat chocolate. I usually eat very dark chocolate (the bar I have at the moment is 85%) which I've grown to enjoy way more than the sickly sweet mainstream chocolate bars which now seem really tasteless to me. Plus, one square is enough. I don't end up wanting more. Other sweet…

Nice recipe - do you have any substitution ideas for a non dairy eater?

Nice topic! :) Salads can be so versatile as you say, they don't have to be sliced cucumber, sliced tomato and a bit of shredded lettuce! Good idea re: carrots - I never think to add them. I love apples and seeds/nuts in salads too. I had a really nice one at a restaurant last weekend: Red & yellow pepper - sliced cherry…

Okay, for those of you asking what the week 3 workout kills? For me personally: THIGHS! Duck walks, especially when trying the advanced version staying low - owwww the burn!

Almond or hazelnut is my preferred choice. I try to avoid soy as much as possible. I'm veggie and limit my dairy as much as possible too - I don't agree with not eating meat then not giving a damn about dairy cattle's welfare, makes no sense to me.

Smoked foods/smoky flavoured foods (I don't eat fish anymore, but smoked fish used to make me ill) Too much garlic, garlic bread, peanuts, clotted cream (hadn't had some in ages - had a teaspoon the other day and it made me feel sick), strong coffee, sausages & bacon (before I became veggie), highly spiced food (like…

Thanks for the advice guys! :) xx

I'm not feeling the intense burn after week 2 sessions that I had when I started week 1 - I don't mind planks, I do a lot of belly dancing so have fairly strong stomach muscles. Plank jacks are ok but mountain climbers and that squat low thing with the other leg lifting high thing?! yeeesh! My weak areas are my thighs and…

I'm doing ripped in 30 too! Really enjoying it thus far - today is day two of week 2. The plank jacks I find ok but the planks with knees thing = OUCH! I like how week 2 is building on movements from week one. If anything though 20 odd mins doesn't seem long enough - if and when I have time I think I'll add week 1…

Does anyone here take tablets or anything to try and reduce water retention? (either for time of the month or all the time) I know they exist but unsure whether it's wise to use them :S

I'm going to ignore the (very lengthy) ad for Crossfit. But taking the above point, just because something is going to kill us eventually it doesn't mean everyone would want it to be by drugs or obesity! Wanting to deter death is futile, none of us know how long we have and life can end at any time, with or without…

WOW! You look incredible! What has been your action plan? I'd love to have success like yours within three months! Way to get into those jeans! Great work :drinker:

How's it going for everyone? After the second level 1 workout last night I am feeling it today! Does anyone else find themselves having a giggle at the things Jillian says? I particularly love (in baby voice) 'Hey there little muscles! Hey there!' ha ha!

WOW! You really are amazing! What a fantastic achievement - I hope you are very proud of yourself. So many people would quit faced with such a tough challenge but you are proof of the power of having the determination to stick with it and persevere to reach your goals. Well done and thanks for being such an inspiration…

Did my first level 1 workout yesterday eve -really enjoyed it! I like Jillian's attitude of it not having to be perfect, just doing the movements correctly and trying your best and the reassurance that, in time, you'll get better. A bit achey today but not as bad as I thought; looking forward to doing it again this eve!…

Do you have access to facilities for warming food up?

Eating a huge lunch isn't practical for me at with work so this wouldn't work for me, even if it can help some people to eat this way. But I am interested in the eggs comment: Why are yolks harder to digest? I'm making eggs a staple part of breakfast for me; good source of protein (I don't eat meat or fish and also avoid…

Tim Bayliss, Are you a Dylan Moran fan?! No lose weight quick schemes work for me. I put a lot of food and lack of exercise into making my body this way and it'll take hard work to change it!

WOW! That's incredible! Well done, you look great
-
Wow, baking mad gym addict: I think I'll watch your video everyday for motivation! That's some hardcore training you've done - great job!

I'm starting today too! Let's do this! :) Good luck! x

I want to start tonight! I got my weights at the weekend so I have no excuse now! :) Good luck everyone! x

Thanks guys! mangomango: how are you getting on with 30DS? I haven't started yet - today's the day! (after work) sarahf3092: Pringles have the most accurate slogan ever; once you pop you really can't stop! Montarosa456: Hi! Me too :) how long have you been a veggie? p.s. I have moved on from the pringles problem of my…

I just got this dvd - I can't wait to get started, despite how difficult I've heard it is! (Feel the burn! ha ha) Off to buy myself some weights tomorrow - I won't be doing 30DS every day as I dance for 2 hours every Friday (that's enough for one day!) and I know myself well enough to realise that if I overdo it too…

WOW! You look incredible! Well done - you're a real inspiration, thanks for sharing your story :flowerforyou:

http://www.isitvegan.com/2011/06/02/are-oreos-vegan/* There's an ongoing dispute about oreos being vegan ^ I'm a veggie - good, easy meals I regularly cook are: Ratatouille, stir fries, roasted veggies (like peppers, courgettes and red onion) with cous cous/put lentils/chickpeas (most of which come in microwaveable packets…
