  • Hi 95jewel! I started out strength training with a 15 minutes for beginners at HASFIT.com, it is great for beginnings. It's free! He does have other sessions as you get fitter and so you can change things up every so often/when you're ready to move to something harder. But the beginners one is great. I started with 5lb.…
  • My turn around was when after I had given completely up and I thought I was going to die. I was feeling so bad physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Then I prayed and asked God to help me find something that would help and a dear friend of mine posted on Facebook the MFP site. As soon as I checked it out I…

  • Were do I begin...my last doctor visit about a week ago showed my blood pressure was excellent! I walk up to 4 miles; bike ride up to 7 miles; swim from post to post & 3 to 4 times back and forth to the sandbar (don't know how far that is but those days I always loose a pound +); I left weights; I don't have shooting pains…

  • I love your post Sue! I do weigh myself every morning but I don't consider myself a scale addict. I use too "obsess over looking at that "number" and that would drive me crazy! Like many here have said, I too, do it to learn about my body and how it responds to my new healthy eating habits and types of activities I do. I…

  • I'm 2ozs. from loosing 100lbs. It has been a long journey but I'm not there yet. I have about another 60lbs. to go, give or take a few. But it has been worth it! I am healthier than I've ever been...I feel great...I have a confidence that I haven't had in years...I could go on and on. The most important thing you must do…
  • I rarely drink any kind of soda anymore. I makes me bloated and I always seem to gain from it even if it's diet.
  • Salted peanuts, salted french fries! I don't eat them that often anymore. When I do have french fries it's only a few from my hubbies plate.
  • You can see a big difference in the inches you've lost! So proud of you girlfriend! I looked online at the bridge too! Great burn! John & I haven't walked or rode our bikes over any bridges in a while, we love too! I'm always looking for new bridges to go over. Fantastic job! Enjoy the rest of your day sweetie! Darlene

  • Great job on your progress my friend! I'd like to know that too! I'm in that same position with the saggy bi's. I do weight training with 10lb. dumbbells and I have recently added 3 new moves but I don't know what they are called. I know I am loosing inches and weight and I feel physically great. But the bat wings are…
  • "Well, I should take advantage of being able to eat ANYTHING, so I'm going to eat EVERYTHING." I do think this statement says a lot about the way she thinks. This most change in order to change the binge. I too use to binge until I got sick. But I do agree with all the other things you said, kpost323.
  • Congrats on the 130lbs. off girl! I'm almost 100lbs. down only 4 to go but I have about another 60lbs to loose totally. I'd say 1lb. a week is ok but don't get disappointed if it comes off slower. Just stay focused my friend.
  • 4 laps swimming out to the sandbar, water jogging to the post & a long walk down to the jetty.
  • I agree! Why don't they do a study & follow those who have been successful & have kept it off!
