  • Wanted to update my progress so far! I've lost a 5-gallon bottle of water or an average human leg plus a rack of baby back ribs Looking forward to my next milestone : a small bale of hay (50 lbs)!
  • ugh. I've been so busy I haven't kept up with this challenge and posting on the boards! Maybe I need a shorter term goal next time :) Anyhow. I started this challenge at 204.4 lb and last weighed in at 191.6. So a total of 12.8 lbs. Overall I've lost 30 lbs in 20 weeks! Wishing everyone continued success!
  • It doesn't look like I'm going to be reaching my goal by Halloween. I've done so much losing and gaining, losing and gaining due to hormones (PMS) etc that I'm averaging only about 3 lbs per month loss. :(

  • I checked out this thread because I have a (now former) co-worker that is selling advocare. Says its the greatest stuff in the world and gives her energy and motivation to go to zumba and running all the time. Advocare kinda seems like a pyramid "scheme" based on what I've seen, so I'm not at all interested in joining her…
  • Thanks for the "tip". Diet coke has caffeine and aspartame and other additives which not only keeps me up at night, but it has a number of other harmful side effects. I admit I'm having to wean myself from sodas and diet sodas. But this is very bad advice IMO. From this article:…

  • good point! I wish I could run too. Its hard for me with shin splints and carrying around the extra weight. I'm hoping once I lose more, I'll be able to run/jog comfortably.

  • My goal is to be more healthy and get fit. I admit I tend to focus too much on the scale. I've recently began measuring myself and think that would be a more reliable way to gauge my progress. I want to not continue to live an unhealthy lifestyle so I can have more healthy happy years!

  • Ok. I'll give 1500-1600 cals some more time before I start to worry. I was just concerned that the days that I burn a lot of calories, maybe I should be eating more. But it seems like I would be eating too much if I ate back those calories and would just maintain. Thats why i'm confused I guess.
