Yes, I do that as for me it will help me fill a craving without going overboard, but I will log it.

I should have clarified its just the app that is messed up. Normally my fitbit app estimates my total burn for the day and then takes the cut. Like right now with my cut I met my calorie goal when i look online it shows I can eat 1322 today with an estimated burn of 2072 (I have eaten 1294). But my app shows me over my…

I started tracking in October. I hit 30 lbs toward the end of January, with the holidays and an all inclusive vacation during that time. So about 3.5 to 4 months.

Thanks everyone! That chart is very helpful, I am about 5 lbs from switching if I take in my lower goal.

I agree the 400 extra calories is probably still less than she burned that day. Its probably extra water retention from the salt and working out. Drink more water give it a few days and it will all be gone. I was up .7 today from yesterday....all due to extra sodium I ate yesterday. I know it will be gone again soon. I…

1200 NET has been working well for me. On the average day I eat 1400 calories or more by eating back some/most (depending on the day) of my exercise. I don't feel hungry at all and I have lost over 30 lbs (since I really started counting calories in Oct 2013). My TDEE per Scooby's is 1464 (with 20% cut), so most days I am…

Thanks for posting this.

I am hoping to see it soon. My clothes are looser and I have gone down a pants size, so ignoring the scale I know I am smaller, but other than a maybe slightly smaller stomach I can't see it at all.

Thanks for posting. Very interesting information.

I am up 1.4 lbs I hope to have those off next week and then move on. Not too bad considering I spent a week at an all inclusive resort over the holidays.
-
At about 10 lbs. I think now I am close to going down a size (need to check out what I have in my closet and try some on). But if I am I am just barely down one size.

I would like to be at my goal weight by my birthday next September. I am on target right now to be there by ~ mid June but I know it will slow down and I will have some bumps in the road.

50 lbs in three. Months is awesome I started a few weeks after you and am down a little over 20 lbs. keep up the good work it will go away in time.

This. I am a WW member but log most of my food here. I go to meetings with one of my friends and it helps me stay motivated and gives me some good ideas/practices. They do push exercise and at least my leader does not push WW products in fact she brings other brands in to show what is good. I think it varies by site and…

I don't drink wine daily just a few times a week. But when I do I make sure I have the calories in my daily goal to drink it, I don't exchange food for wine.
-
Yes, I refuse to give up my wine. I have lost ~20 lbs since starting in October by still having my red wine and sometimes while out other drinks. I do measure my pours now and plan for the drinks but I have not nor will I stop drinking wine.

Very informative post. Thanks

I regret nothing. I am over my calories today due to going to my favorite pizza place tonight that I get to once or twice a year....it was worth it!

I have learned that it helps if I count out or weigh a portion put it on a plate put away the bag/can and eat and the snack. I will never last if I deprive myself, I have done that in the past and failed. I really want to succeed this time.
-
I drink a glass of red wine 4 -5 nights a week 5 oz is just over 100 calories. I just measure it out and plan it in my calories. So far there has been no affect on my weight loss.
-
I weigh in daily when I am at home, I have the Aria scale so it automatically logs here and my fitbit account I don't mind fluctuations. But I am a little afraid of weighing in on Monday after Thanksgiving weekend away.

You need to calculate you TDEE if you want to use this method and then take a cut off of that. Do not cut from your BMR. ETA: Or Read SLLRunners very informational post

I have a 5 oz glass of red wine (I weigh it out) almost every night, I just plan it in my daily calories. So far it has not seemed to affect my weight loss at all. If it does I may reconsider then, but my wine would be pretty hard for me to completely give up. So I agree with you as long as you plan for it I see no reason…

If you lose the last 20 too fast you will lose lean muscle. Set your goal to lose .5 lbs a week.

If I have time I do a little more exercise. If not, I just live with it and am more contentious the next day. it happens, and for me at least its going to happen a lot this week (but I will also probably go over everything). My goal is to be back on target next week.
-
I haven't really seen any changes in myself. Maybe a little in my stomach but my clothes fit better and a few pants are starting to get loose. I think partially its me being hard on myself. To me the real test will be this week to see if any of my family notices any differences. I still have a long way to go, but I hope I…

Thanks! This is great information.

The third slice of baked potato pizza. It was so good! I am still close on my calorie goal today so I should be ok
