I'm a 4th year veterinary science student, and loving it!  At the moment I have four subjects: small animal internal medicine ruminant internal medicine equine internal medicine pigs and aquaculture. It's pretty intense at the moment but this is my last lot of major exams before rotations so I'm excited…

Awesome, I just bought the 30ds and can't wait to start it. In the meantime I've also found working out in my room before class/between class to be best. I've been doing the EA Sports Active Personal Trainer program on the wii and its really good for quick 20 minute workouts :)

So sorry about your little pug - I cried as I read your post. As a soon to be veterinarian and an animal lover myself I totally understand the depth of grieving after the loss of a beloved pet. I know how hard it can be to have to watch them struggle with illness. My cat had lung cancer and although we tried our best to…

Sorry, I forget there's a difference in the product name outside of Australia. By jelly I mean the awesome product that wobbles on your plate! I think you know it as Jell-o. So just the diet (sugar-free, no calorie, etc) version of that.

Protein shakes work well (but there's only so many of those you can eat in a day haha). And fruit it also good as many don't even need to be cut before being eaten (e.g. any berry fruit, apples, pears, grapes, etc). My personal favourites for quick, easy and FAST cooking: Egg wrap: Heat up a greased pan over stove (I use a…

You can try snack foods with a really low calorie count when you really get the munchies. I like to eat a big bowl of diet jelly :) There's essentially no calories in that!

Hehe, one of my frogs is named Hermie! (only I spell it with a 'y' usually)

I have 3 baby orange-eyed tree frogs! Does that count? They are very cute and they croak happily when it rains :)

Is there any way you can do a little bit of exercise tonight at home? I often find that makes me feel less guilty about not completing a full workout. Maybe just do a couple of sets of squats, or go for a short walk before bedtime. That way you can feel like you still did some exercise today without having to go nuts at…

The suggestions above are good :) And if you need a snack but don't want to increase your calorie count too much, try a snack-sized jelly cup (+/- fruit)

Good point. I know a few people who could learn a lot from reading this! (male and female)

Sunday was my weigh in day too and I was 85.8kg (189lb). So I lost 1.5kg (just over 3lb) this week. Hope I can continue to lose well for this challenge! :)

As well as the lotion (and I agree Palmers is excellent) have you tried taking any type of fish oil/omega 3 tablets? They are great for your skin (and hair and nails too). I found my skin has been much less flaky and dry since taking them :)

Bump! Great answers everyone, many inspirational tips. I feel so motivated now :D

One small square of very dark chocolate works well, or if you really want to be good try a big bowl of diet jelly! Pretty much no calories and you still feel like you're eating something sweet :)

Mornings are better for me - it leaves me feeling energised and mentally pumped for the day :) I tried late avo/night training but I just feel too worn out at that time most days to keep it up regularly.

In highschool I lost 23kg, and everyone said I looked amazing and I was so much happier with fitting into my wardrobe, etc. But I still thought of myself as 'the fat girl'. Unfortunately that's a mental adjustment that takes a while. But if you keep looking into the mirror and tell yourself "I love my body and all the…
