Bump to print later, thanks :)

Icona Pop - All Night It's a dumb song but the opening lines always make me think of how far I've come from when I just 'wished' I looked/felt better...always gets a big smile when it comes on during a workout!! It's so bouncy and upbeat. I love it, for all it's dumbness :) "We always dreamed about this better life, this…

I've always said that Matt Smith's Doctor is too similar to David Tennant's Doctor (with Tennant being better, but god, did that work well in this episode! We were belly laughing at all their scenes together. I loved the special, but it just reignited my sadness at missing David Tennant's serious dark and twisty avenging…

How great to get advice from someone who has run it already, thank you :) I feel all excited to get going now, off I go to sign up!

I'm about the same, run 5k 3/4 times a week, and workout with various Jillian Michaels dvd's 5/6 times a week. I am seriously considering the Reading half too. I think it is a doable goal, I won't be bothered about my time, and I'm a walk/run/walk/run person and have no shame about that! So maybe we should just both bite…

Zombies, Run 5K traing ap. Starts off real slow with run/walk/heel lifts etc to build your strength and endurance and the storyline mixed in with your playlist really distracts you. I LOVED it, and finished all 8 weeks. As I am waiting for a phone upgrade I can't get the rest of the missions yet, so I have been going back…

That was my first thought but didn't feel brave enough to say!
-
Interested to see peoples thoughts on this.

Sigh, my perfect friday.
-
You sound like my kinda friend :) Adding you now.

This ^^^ is actually something my friends and I have confessed to thinking! Coffee and wine addicts unite!
-
Red wine, oh yes! I just have to try to force myself not to accompany it with cheese and stick within my calories. I could never ever give up wine (or gin).

Not sure if anyone still cares but I was looking for this the other day...seems RIDICULOUSLY low, but: http://www.fatsecret.com/Diary.aspx?pa=fjrd&rid=5462270

Hi, I'm 30 and from Reading. Used to live in London until I came back to Uni here, just about finishing a masters and looking for work, so am all over the place and it can be hard to stay on track with diet and exercise. I am usually on here everyday and active in Newsfeeds and the forums, so feel free to add me :) Laura

These are both also true for me! It can look a bit "28 Days Later" around here when I'm out running using the "Zombies, Run!" app. I am so terrified of the idea of Zombies, but am using that to my advantage in training :) I think I would try and gather up food from our allotment, take stock of what medical supplies we have…

I love this!! Let us know what you come up with :)

I am totally ambivalent when it comes to 'normal.' I see people on programmes like 'Supersize vs. Superskinny' and think "That skinny has a great figure, she doesn't look too bad" then realise that's INSANE and she's unhealthily thin, but then I also see a lot of bigger people and think they're 'normal' as well. Our…

I watched an excellent documentary about diets such as Slim-Fast, the conclusion they came to is that they very very rarely succeed in the long-term because they are a gimmick that does not change your attitude towards food. BUT the genius part is this: when it doesn't work, and you put the weight (and often more) back on,…

Turns out, you're hilarious, man.

Me too! Grew up in Maidenhead (urgh) but Reading for the last 10 years :drinker:

Confession Time: For AGES I used to say that I preferred my boyfriend to be a bit chubby, but now I realise that I was terrified I would look like his 'fat girlfriend' if he got in the great shape he was in before we met. I've never been fat-fat, but always had confidence issues and put on a bit of weight in the course of…

I'm from Reading too, not living there at the moment but still in Berks :) Always looking for new MFP friends.
-
Hi, I'm from Reading in the South East. I know what you mean about seeing something then realising it's not relevant/available to us in the UK. A lot of my MFP friends are international and I am always seeing exciting things in their food diaries then realising it's all from 'Trader Joes'....whatever that is?! So if any of…

Sounds like you are in the right place :) I've been using MFP for over a month and can honestly say setting this up was the best decision I've ever made concerning my health and diet. not just weight loss; but support, thinking carefully about nutrition and not just calories, getting and staying motivated...I think all of…

This makes me sad...until last month I could have been one of you, but now i have gone over that edge and turned 30, I guess I'm out

^^ This, so much. Had some many 'cry runs' in tough times of my life and 9/10 come back with an idea to make things better and a smile on my face.

Bumped as was wondering the same thing.
