  • I bought a pair of Vibrams after taking 8 months off of running due to intense knee pain every time I went out. I have run in them for the last 3 weeks and they are AMAZING! I don't have any pain when I run in them. I am taking it slow so my calf muscles can get used to working a little harder. You run much differently…
  • I just put it under circuit training-general. Your son is cute! Mine turns 2 tomorrow, he just smooshed banana into the carpet... crazy boys.
  • If you have a Trader Joes around you, they make an awesome natural, creamy no salt added peanut butter. MMMM!!
  • YUM!!!
  • YAY! I'm starting tonight...excited!
  • I am a morning person, however I find it difficult to get out of bed at 5am to workout. Sometimes I will sleep in my workout clothes, put my shoes right next to the bed and a note that says "WORKOUT!" Amazingly it doesn't work every time, but it has helped!!
  • Hummus with home made pita chips! Stuffed jalepeno poppers- cut the peppers in half, fill with a mix of low fat cream cheese, some garlic powder and mozz cheese...then dip the bottoms in eggwash then into seasoned bread crumbs...put in oven at 350 for 20-25 mins. They go well with football! GO BEARS!:drinker:
  • I can't begin to tell you how insightful all your posts have been! I definitely needed this advise to put my mind on the right track, thank you all so much!
  • First off, sushi sounds so good right now! Second, if you eat at the Melting Pot you better just count it as a spluge day and have a great time! I'm vegetarian also, and there is PLENTY to eat there. You start of with a gooey pot of cheese! YUM! It takes a very long time to eat there, so if you ate at home before you may…
  • Here are some of my favorites! 1. package of gnocci and throw them in a saute pan with a little olive oil until they get crispy, then throw some red sauce over them and serve with a salad. 2. I found these baked potatoes in the store that are pre-wrapped, you just put them in the micro for 6 mins! They are very quick...I…
  • Welcome! Your daughter is super cute!
  • Great ideas! Sounds yummy! • That's so funny, I've been on Expedia.com all day looking for a place to go! The beach sounds nice! Have fun:drinker:

  • I currently have Nike Shox, I thought I liked them when I tried them on....not so much now!! They feel heavy on my feet. I'm definitely going to try the Asics next.
  • Me too! Started at 180ish in a size 16.
  • First, congrats!!! Second, you can totally do this! It took me a while but I finally lost my baby weight, so I KNOW it can be done! I'm here if you need support!
  • I think it's those gains and losses are what keeps me motivated, it gets easier to bounce back!
  • Ps. I put some before and after pics in my profile. I did lose my boobs, but in my defense that sports bra is super tight.
  • Hey everyone!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE autumn! I can't wait! I've been doing ok with diet and exercise, last week I made my goal! YAY!! It was the lowest weight I have been since 8th grade! I would like to stay within 3 lbs of my goal...however I have been having some weird symtoms that resemble early signs of pregnancy YIKES!!…
  • THANKS!!!
  • Nice work!!
  • I did it! I finished the 5k in 29:34, 12th in my age group. I know that I could have pushed myself more, but with the crazy headaches lately, I didn't think that was the smartest idea. All in all, a good run. How was everyones holiday weekend?
  • You should try one! I ran for the first time after I had my son and have kept up with it for a year now. I go out for a run after work at least 3 times a week. Even if I can squeeze in a quick mile before making dinner. I started out at a very slow jog, walking when I needed to. As long as you keep pushing yourself it gets…
  • I was doing well with running, then I got hit with a monster headache that lasted about 1 1/2 weeks. I was going to bed at 7 pm so I didn't have to deal with the throbbing. ick. It seems to have broken finally! I'm contemplating doing a 5k tomorrow morning, I know it's kinda last minute! We'll see what happens.…
  • Beans are a great source. Anything from hummus to black bean burittos. There are so many ways to use them! String cheese is a great snack and can also contribute to your protein intake. Things like tofu and meat alternatives are also packed with protein.
  • I'm there with you, it has definitely been an adjustment to prepare 2 meals after a long day at work. The easiest solution for me is to make a regular meal, say tacos, chicken quesadillas, & wraps but just make mine veggie. Otherwise I prepare meatless entrees such as gnocci, pasta, salads...etc. We order pizza once a week…
