Paleo with dairy here!
So often it seems people are more focused on a shiny new toy based on marketing hype than buying the right tool for the job they want done.
Yes! I love shiny new toys!

It used to be cheez-its for me, love those crackers. But I am much improved now, phew!
-
I recently cut grains out of my diet and have had fewer cravings as a result. I made it through Easter without eating any of my kids' candy. Candy was a big downfall for me, along with cheez-its and the like.

I've gone "lower" carb the last week or so. I cut out grains, and the junk food and candy that I love, getting carbs from veggies and fruits. I have noticed less of a desire to snack between meals and no cravings.

Just eat food.

I don't think Subway is a healthy choice because of all the additives someone mentioned. But if you're just concerned with calorie intake, they have good options.

I'm 5'-3" and about 114 pounds. Weight is pretty good. Trying to lose some fat and gain some muscle though, so weight may shift up a little bit.

Whoa!!! Very nice job!

I sleep in the middle. Because I can.

I agree what someone drives tells you something about a person. I totally judge men by what the type of car they drive, what sort of condition it is in, etc. Me: 2014 Subaru Legacy

Will be 40 in may and also looking to do my first show that month! I haven't done much to prep but I'm just going to dive in. I am looking to hire a trainer for some guidance. Just need to find one!
-
How do you like using an online trainer? I'm considering doing that also. Would you recommend yours? Thinking of doing my first show in May here in Spokane, WA, but think I need to find some guidance!
-
I'm considering it. Add as friend?

So you wouldn't be my friend because I am a small person and have to eat hardly anything to lose weight? Trust me, I would love to be able to eat more! ETA: Oops, meant to quote... "Personally, i think MFP sets 1200 as the minimum to stop this becoming an eating disorder website - its all too easy to not enough and to land…
-
I have read ~30 grams at a time... Different sources, different information, so frustrating!
-
I think that is a big generalization. I think it depends on height and body type. My BMR is only 1160 and I'm 5'-3". Here is something I recently came across though. "An article from the Army Physical Fitness Research Institute containing a chapter titled The Nutrition Connection by Lori D. Hennessy and Gaston P. Bathalon…

So I can get to my 1700 calories per day by eating 8 candy bars and that would be fine? I think not. There's more to it than that.
-
I haven't ready any replies, but avocados are awesome in smoothies. They make them so smoooooth! :)
-
Are you planning on running to a store to buy fixings to make something at work? Do you have things at work, you just don't know what to make with it? I'm a tiny bit confused... *Nevermind :)

You're better off making your own than having processed boxed cake mix. There are many coffee mug cake recipes on the internet, Pinterest, etc.
-
What is your goal? Lose weight? Build muscle? I would definitely not drop to 1200 calories. You'll only end up losing the muscle you have been building. I would add some HIIT if you want to lose some weight.

Yes, see your doctor. There is sleep apnea, as mentioned. And there are many, many other sleep disorders as well. Check out chronic fatigue syndrome and hypersomnia also.
-
My weight is good, the composition of it is not so much. :) Working on melting the fat and building more muscle.
-
I made a peanut butter banana bread with it. It was good!
-
bump to save :)
-
So a combo of the two may be ideal?
-
So that 2500 calories is nowhere near accurate, you think? I wore my fitbit all day too actually, but I'm not sure what that tells me. It said 1600 calories, but is that accurate?
-
If you're working that hard on your butt, it probably looks pretty good, under the fat. You'll need to improve eating habits and maybe increase cardio to burn the fat that is hiding it.

Bump. Like the fish tacos idea to make it more enticing for the kids.
