I don't know how old your grandparents are but IMHO, some old people just like to pick and moan! As they've gotten older, their world, life, interests has gotten smaller so what doesn't seem like a big deal to you or I is a huge deal to them. They have nothing else in their life but their kids and grandkids! LOL. Obviously…

It's not always the parents' fault... My daughter is 9 and loves to eat. She's been putting weight on over the last 6 months or so and is overweight. When we go shopping, I try to educate her about food and give her healthy alternatives to sweets and 'junk' food. I ensure she has fresh fruit and vegetables to snack on and…

I just started running two weeks ago and I have the same pain - mine is almost unbearable at times, and especially worse when I stop running. Fortunately it goes away within 20 minutes or so of stopping. Make sure you are getting plenty of potassium as this will ease cramping (banana before/after your run) and also coconut…

Guiness! Only 230 cals for a pint :drinker:

By this statement you are taking blame for what these men have done to you. Their cheating on you says much more about them than it does about you. As long as you are honest, faithful and considerate, you don't deserve to be treated like cr*p.

I'm not an expert - let me just put that out there. But my understanding is that Exante works by basically tricking your body into thinking it's starving, which is why your body will be quick to use its fat reserves. However, low calorie diets (1,000-1,200 cal per day) are not low enough to get this same response from your…

Could you the problem be that you're eating less than 1200 cals? I thought 1200 was the very minimum for healthy weight loss?

I steam my chicken/turkey in the microwave. It's simple - just put it in a microwaveable bowl with a plate or something over the top and set the timer to 2:30, when its done I turn it over and put it on for another 2 minutes and voila, perfectly cooked, juicy chicken breast. You can sprinkle a little seasoning on it too to…

Yes, this has been my experience too. As I lose weight and adjust it on my MFP profile, MFP will decrease my calorie goal by 20 or so cals per day

I do my cardio and go straight onto weights afterwards and i do log my weight lifting calories. I do this because I put a lot of effort into lifting so my heart rate increases so I figure I must be burning (plus my heart rate is still elevated from the cardio). I wear a hrm so can see how many cals I burn during cardio and…

Up the workouts and maybe try playing with your macros - up the protein and lower the carbs. This has worked for me recently.

Try playing with your macros... I plateaued recently so changed my macros to 40/30/30 (p/f/c), upped my exercise (cardio and strength) and have started losing again. Although, you could just be replacing fat with muscle which would explain why you don't seem to be losing. Remember though, you should be aiming for fat loss,…

Can't really see your legs to see a difference but you can definitely see it in you face and upper body! Well done, amazing results!!

It's already been said, but I'll say it again as simply as I can. I'll use myself as an example... I want to lose 1lb per week, so MFP has given me a calorie goal of 1320. If I eat 1320 calories a day and do NO exercise I will lose 1lb per week. If I workout and burn 500 calories and don't eat them back, in effect I have…

This. For a second, I thought it was me just being half asleep...

I noticed the other day at the gym how much weaker my left arm is to my right so I've started wearing a wrist weight (3lb to start with) and the same on my left ankle. I just wear it around the house right now but I'll work up to wearing it while working out as it I get stronger on my left side. ETA If you do free weights,…

I've been feeling the same lately! I've lost 21 lbs in total and I feel like I should be 'skinny' now but sometimes I catch sight of myself and think "you're still huge". I just keep telling myself to trust the process. I know I'm eating properly, logging everything and working my *kitten* off in the gym. I WILL get…

A banana always sorts me out, about 20 minutes prior to working out

Hey! Feel free to add me  I log daily and like to think I'm encouraging and motivational!

I don't know what your fitness it like but just one word of advice; I did insanity and followed the schedule for two weeks straight and I have to say I was in so much pain, particularly in my calves, that it became difficult to do anything. I hadn't injured myself and I always warmed up/cooled down and did all the…

Yes, unfortunately weight loss isn't linear - it doesn't go down in nice little quarter pound increments like we think it should. As long as you are getting the desired results though, it's all good.

Aw, shucks! :blushing:
