You have an oral fixation. It's quite common. Just replace it. Either with healthier snacks (celery anyone?) or maybe hot tea or water.

Well, this is a good group ladies! We're all on the same diet & here for support & to support each other. Good luck!

My fiance & I celebrated our Valentine's Day on Wednesday & I didn't feel bad one bit cheating on my diet. I just restarted the next day. The scale went up slightly but that was to be expected. I'm just restarting my diet & I'm okay with it. Just from having a cheat day now and again shouldn't derail you from your goal.…

Considering the fact that NO ONE has noticed I've lost any weight, then no. I don't know what it's like to be commented on with weight loss. :explode: :grumble: I kinda wish someone would comment, even if it seemed somewhat condescending, because then it would mean that my hard work is yielding results.

 I attempted to post a photo that I took recently from a hike, but the link kept saying it was broken. Maybe because it was a Flickr account? Not sure. But if anyone wants to see some of the Redwood hiking views that my fiance & I get here is the web address:…

It's been raining, but that hasn't stopped my hiking here in Humboldt! Hope others out there are managing to get out in nature despite the weather. Happy Hiking!

She's only 24!? I didn't watch the show, so I didn't know. But holy eff!! I saw her picture and thought she was a 45 year old mother! :noway: :noway: :noway: :noway: :noway:

I'm sure the same was said when she was overweight too. But that didn't make her healthy.

Great job!

CONGRATS!! That is amazing!:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I love that. I'm doing a "No Weigh February". I weighed myself on the first, and took my measurements, but I will not weigh myself until the end of the month. I'll also take my measurements again. I'm excited at the thought of losing inches. You're doing awesome. Keep up the good work!!

I agree.

I'm always down for more friends, ESPECIALLY if they're Atkins friendly friends. Anyone reading can add me!

I would love more Atkins friends on here!
-
You can add me as a friend. I'm good for motivation & update almost every day. But you are the one who has to make the choice to go past two days. There is a lot of good advice all over this site. Start navigating & you'll learn a lot of good things. Good luck!

I'm always down for friends! Feel free to add me!

I'm down. I think one of the best benefits from this site is that everyone is trying to achieve the same goal: Being healthy.

I usually eat my dinner around 6:30, and then afterwards (if I feel peckish) I'll have a cup or two of hot tea. Usually some sleepy time tea. It really helps. I think the hot water confuses my stomach to thinking that it might be soup. It was a little difficult to get into the habit, but now it's automatic. Maybe…

WOW! You lost 121 pounds??!?! Amaaaaaaaazing!
-
I'm always down for more friends! If you're looking for more than two.

I don't know. I haven't had soda in years. But I do know that drinking hot tea cuts down on the cravings too. Having a cup of hot tea at night keeps me from doing any nighttime snacking.

Last month I did the 72' version for about two weeks (lost 10 pounds that quick), but then I switched to the newer version because...well...I got tired of eating the same ole' same ole'. The weight isn't coming off as quickly now, but I'm working on upping exercise to compensate for that. I think right now my body is also…

I need to lose 30 more pounds before April 1st, so my February goal is 15lbs (same as March goal). I'm really trying to get as close to my goal as possible. Good luck to everyone!!
-
This will be hard for me since I am obsessive with the scale, but I am going to try. I don't know if I'll be able to do it...but I WILL make a big effort!
-
Ahhhh, I sent you a message and THEN read the end of the string. I just missed it. Boooo. :) Next time though. Good luck losing those inches ladies!

I can't, for the life of me, talk myself into spending a ton of money on a dress for one day. That, and there's no possible way that I'm going to be at my ideal weight (or even close) when I say "I do". That said, we are eloping. At first because we're eloping I figured I wouldn't have to do the whole "dress" thing, but…

I'm down 13.4 pounds for the month. Not bad considering I didn't start until week 2. I'm getting married in less than 60 days. :noway: So here's to hoping that I lose at least another ten this Feb!! Good luck all!

From the lack of response here I'm wondering if anyone even works out. LoL. Or if no one eats a small meal after a workout. :embarassed: Just me? Okay.

losing inches already is great. Don't worry about a scale (although knowing your starting weight is always good for later success stories), and just enjoy seeing your clothes melt off of you.
