  • As someone else said here...this is not a fad diet ...this is a lifestyle, I have NOT eliminated anything EXCEPT I have not eaten fast food in a very long time because I dont think its good for me but that is not really a food group, I will eat french fries and burgers but I wont go to Mc Donalds :) Buts thats not to say…
  • Im 52, Im 5'1 and Ive been eating 1200 calories for 8 months and I've lost 41 pounds...i dont feel hungry and I pretty much eat what I want. I do exercise about 4 times a week but I dont eat back my exercise calories unless its a special occasion. Really I think its about what works for you. Try it and adjust as needed.
  • Awesome for you!!!!! I remember that feeling!!!!!! Keep it up!!!!!
  • Im 5'1 and a half and I started out at 170, Im now as of today 128.8 and for me I want to weigh 110-115, most of my friends and my hubby tell me that this is great and they encourage me...I think it depends on you and your body type, I used to think that 130 was fine for me, but now that im basically at 130 ish...I still…
  • Dress #1 and pick the boots for comfort or another pair of shoes for sure...NO on #2
  • For me, these are the major things that have worked: - this is not a diet, its a lifestyle change - weigh, measure everything - track everything I eat, and I mean EVERYTHING! - I NEVER deprive my self, if I want chocolate, I eat it but I count it and make sure its within my calories for the day - I eat 1200 calories a day,…
  • 170 days 41 pounds gone...congrats to everyone!
  • I looked over your diary and I will say this as gently as possibly sweetie, but I would suggest that you try and add some more clean food to your diet, say some raw veggies, maybe salad to a meal or 2, or some veggies and a dip if you would like that? There are some good yogurt ranch dressings out now that taste just like…
  • Really hard to say since I have no information...how many calories were you eating? Whats your TDEE? What did MFP say you should eat? Do you exercise? How much have you lost before you hit your plateau? Can you open your diary so I can see what you eat? That said we ALL hit plateaus...I hit one about every 10 -12 pounds. I…
  • Have you tried Yoga? Have you also tried Glucoseamine with Condroitant? Not sure if I have the spelling correct but I get it at Costco and it takes about 3 weeks to work. I have joint pain and arthritis, I had it so severe in my hand that I had a bone removed to relive the pain. I do yoga and the elliptical and take the…

  • A body at rest, stays at rest...A body in motion stays in motion AND This is NOT a diet, this is how I eat now for life AND Any food is fine in moderation
  • I totally and completely understand your frustration! I am 5'1" and last Nov I weighed 170 lb and I worked out all the time...but what I learned and that its not all about the exercise...once I got here to MFP and really was honest about what I put in my mouth and I really weigh and measure EVERYTHING before I eat it...I…
  • You are not eating enough!!!!! You need to eat AT LEAST 1200 calories a day! You need to UP your fruits, veggies and protein. Your exercise is fine but you will put your body in starvation mode and you will NOT lose weight. Up your calories to at least 1200 and you will start losing weight, plus you will have more energy.…
  • Hormones can be a huge trigger in migraines. I never got a migraine till I was in my 40's then I started getting them and they progressed and got much worse as I got in to peri menopause. I was on Imatrex for years and it worked great until it just stopped working. I finally ended up in the ER and went to a neurologist and…

  • I looked over a few days of your diary and you eat really healthy! The only thing I could suggest (and I am reaching !) is that you may be eating too few calories, you may try eating your exercise calories back and maybe that will bump up your weight loss. I don't do this but Im older that you and my metabolism is much…

  • Ive lost 40 pounds and I eat 1200 calories a day and Im very satisfied. I always feel full, I eat fruit and veggies and protein and also have my chocolate craving satisfied. It works for me!
  • Just keep doing what youre doing and the weight will come off, it takes time, a lot of time. 1 week is not enough time to measure enough change in your body. Give yourself about 2 months to really see some changes and be patient, it took your body more than a week to gain the weight, give yourself more than a week to take…

  • I have to have my coffee in the AM or Im tired and cranky! I bought a small espresso maker and I steam/froth low fat milk, I measure 1/4 cup but when it froths up I end up only using half of that so its like 25 calories...then I use 2 packets of Truvia which is Stevia and its sweeter than Splenda and tastes more like sugar…
