Don't cut out the foods you enjoy, instead just moderate the portions. I allow calories for the chocolate and the slice of cake that I enjoy. I still eat the foods I enjoy just a more sensible portion. Do not deprive yourself as you will more likely fail. I'm no expert and this is my 2nd round here but I know it worked…

Likewise - been here before, got to good weight then a stressful year I have put most back on. Time to restart again now I'm in the right state of mind.

I've finally decided to come back after having a stressful year with one thing and another. time to start focusing back on me.

Getting into my size 12 trousers and them being comfy/loose. Started off in tight 18's.

My eldest (nearly 20) is autistic, I've come to the conclusion that I need to be fit and healthy to help me to help him (and the rest of my family). Good enough motivation, now I have more stamina and seem to cope better.

Me for one, doesnt matter if its a holiday or not, if you are serious about losing weight you will stick to your plan. You can still enjoy treats and snacks, just count them in and be sensible. I aim to enjoy Christmas and still have the satifaction of losing excess :)
