32 yr old with about 15-20 lbs left to lose. I track my weight loss blog-style. Add me if you're interested :)
-
I based it off what my consistent weight was when I was in my early-mid twenties before I started to gain, but if I'm 5 lbs over that then I'd still be satisfied.

Yummmmm. Keep the pics coming, I need meal ideas :)

Coffee is actually good for a lot of things, it's my pre-workout drug of choice.
-
Your meals sound good, but I think you need to throw in some snacks and then you'll be golden!
-
Hmm, I'm a runner, but aside from running I actually really like stair-climbing!

I don't get the whole dairy thing. I eat/drink dairy every single day and it doesn't worsen my acne (and I'm an acne-prone person). When I do have super clear skin it's because my overall diet is on the healthy side (lots of fruits and veg, no junk foods, etc). Everyone is different, find what works for you :)

So glad I saw this thread, I've been looking for something like this also!

Good for you! Slow or not, it's not a competition and every single step is an achievement and a move in the right direction to a healthier you! Go girl

Mostly regular, but I just bought a bunch of new workout clothes yesterday because I was tired of running out of them mid-week when I still have more workouts to do!

Portioning/weighing my food before eating

Am I the only person that skipped over all the pizza posts in this thread to read the poutine ones? (You know you're Canadian when...)

Ohhh potato salad is one of my favs, so yes go for it if it fits your cals. I know potato salad is heavy on the kcal side, but if you are good with portion control then you'd be fine. Potato salad is like a trigger food for me, I can't just eat a little of it and the problem is that it doesn't satiate me for very long -…

I had this the other day, I just took a rest day with no exercise and it helped me recover... maybe you should take it easy until you feel better?

Bump! Congrats on 365 days of logging! :flowerforyou:

Oh how to choose, how to choose?? Hmm... pastries! And that includes bread

Thank you both for your responses! Very helpful. I decided to try running today without taking my phone, and putting my keys in my running jacket - no shoulder pain! Such a relief to keep my hands free - and you're right, it really did help me relax my muscles more.

147lbs for 5'7" is perfectly healthy and a good goal to aim for! Your friend is just not used to seeing you this way and it might have taken her aback. Stick with your plan, eventually your weight will become the new 'norm' and the comments will stop. Edit for typo*

I haven't read the other responses so I'm sorry if I'm repeating something :) It took me a long time to realize it, but one of the best ways to be motivated to exercise and strive to find time to exercise is by finding a form of exercise you love and enjoy, just like you would love and enjoy sitting at the tv watching your…

Two thumbs up!! And you look really good :)
-
Yes, absolutely!

I'm 5'6" too and 130 bls is my goal weight :) I used to be 130 lbs but I had a period of regain, however when I was closer to 130 I got the same kind of comment you did. It actually made me pretty upset, but I tried not to let it show. There could be different reasons someone will say something like that to you, could be…

Nice and simple, just the way I like it... will try :)
-
Chocolate cake, or ice cream... or both!
-
I'm always up for helping out in the motivation dept, feel free to add me :)

Honey crisp! You might like Macintosh, too... easier to find.
-
Oh my

If it was hard for you to eat 1200 cals a day, you wouldn't be on MFP in the first place. If you are not that hungry these days, then eat small portions of high cal foods to reach your target (ie - nuts, avocados, whole milk, etc)
-
^^ I was going to say this, too. Don't force yourself to drink something that you hate. If you really felt you needed to have it for nutritional reasons then you could try to add it to a smoothie to help mask some of the taste.

I'm not diabetic, nor have a ever been... but reading the responses in this thread are SCARING me, lol. If me, being healthy now, am scared of this... then you, being sick, should be terrified. Please do something now... for your sake, your children's sake. You CAN do it, it's completely achievable.
