  • I am 120-125ish (i'm scared to weigh myself and get the calipers out as i've been on an exercise restriction due to a head injury for a few months) now, but only because of inactivity and being really really low on money. When i was eating really healthy, really active and in my prime i was around 110, and i'm the same…
  • It seems more like "when she hears what she wants to hear", regardless of how true it may or may not be. She's been provided with a lot of sensible advice, yet she keeps self-pitying and doesn't tell us she has any intention of applying it. There is no one single answer to binge eating, but there is a number of things she…
  • 1. We tend to reach for sugar-dense foods when we deprive ourselves/don't eat enough, since sugar is a quick-fix for energy, but not a healthy one, nor does it help energy wise as it's not sustainable (like with healthy fats, or protein since it's a spike and crash). So your being deficient in protein could be why you…
  • I used to eat these - it's merely another brand of the shiitaki noodles with a bit of flair, but with flavors and produced by another brand. In my opinion they're a bit better in terms of texture and flavor....but i'd much rather eat pasta for both the flavor and health/weight benefits.
  • I second this! From another runner, kudos! :) Congrats!
  • It may take some getting used to for you, but has been mentioned time and time again people around here are blunt when it comes to their responses. I don't reply to threads often at all but i do read a good deal of them during my spare time, and i have seen a few people who are rather hostile and cruel. They account for…
  • They make me look great and feel great. If they do either of the above for you, then rock 'em. :)
  • There really isn't much to suggest, outside of being really careful to get into the habit of reading labels/knowing what to look for, and learning what products you like/don't like. Just like with any other food group, it's a case of trial and error to figure out what you like/don't like. :) It's really hard to suggest…
  • You deserve a medal for this comment too. ;) <3
  • YES THIS THANK YOU THAT IS ALL. Unless you have a medical condition that makes you unable to consume gluten for medical reasons (Celiac, wheat allergy, etc.) you can consume gluten. Goodbye.
  • If you're having loose stools, you may eaten bad food. When i overindulge i tend to get constipated/bloated/nauseous/sleepy/etc. I only get loose stools when i eat bad food, or something my body doesn't tolerate, like gluten. So i suggest that you double check the things that you ate, just to see if you had anything that…
  • I'm more so worried about New Years! I've been working on school work (still am actually - i don't know how that's humane....haha) but New Years is going to kick my butt! Support is always welcome. :)
  • I don't have the time to write as elaborate of an response as i'd like since i'm running out to work, but i'll PM you a few things tonight that helped me! :)
  • I'm nearby - in NJ!!
  • Same! I love both pop and progressive metal. I listen to what i love. I'd be more so ashamed of having judgmental friends than liking a particular genre of music.
  • Then don't walk out. If you had cancer and the continual uncomfortable treatments were keeping you alive, surely you wouldn't walk out, would you? This is no different. Eating disorders are risky and tend to be higher in terms of health complications and mortality rates. When you have an eating disorder, treatment and…
  • If you don't mind my asking - do you just have a hard time sleeping, or do you have a diagnosis of insomnia that gets worse when you change your eating habits? I want to respond - but i don't want to make an assumption there!
  • Yes! ^.^ I'm looking for anybody positive and motivational! :D
  • Ignore this - they are not all higher in calories or carbohydrates (they are higher on average). Just like when you go to buy cheese and there are varying flavors, types, and densities, the same goes for gluten free products. Learn how to read labels, and look for the healthiest options if you have to use a replacement…
  • I actually didn't think of this, but ^thats the case for me (and most people) as well. If you're not consuming enough the hunger can keep you up for sure, and other physical reactions may impact your sleep. Have you tried tracking your sleeping habits AND your eating habits for a few weeks, to look for patterns?
  • I've always had the opposite happen - the healthier i eat, the better my sleeping habits tend to be!!
