  • but i do LOVE the skinny girl ice cream sandwiches once in awhile...but i buy the generic ones from Target, lol...
  • the skinny girl candies have too much sugar and i can't refrain myself from eating more than a "portion" of a turtle cluster :) I recently fell in love with Werther's sugar free candies- i like the Caramel Coffee and the Candy Apple...you can eat like 5 of them for 40 calories and no sugar...
  • i want to do this, too...i'm ready to cut refined sugars out of my diet! look at your processed food labels...you will see sugar, corn syrup, HF corn syrup, cane sugar, etc in EVERYTHING! i'm getting ready to switch to all natural, so this might be a good challenge for me...
  • 1 and 5 are ridiculously hard for me...
  • i have to eat dinner in the car 3-4 times a week because i drive 45 minutes to school...i tend to get really "munchy" in the car (because i used to smoke)...i'm also looking for any super-low cal snacks that i can munch on that won't ruin my calories for the day...
  • i was doing so good before...eating right...running daily...it was really hard to start the first time, but this time seems even harder, lol...
  • you can add me if you'd like! i'm also a starting out runner...doing some 5ks this summer/fall and hoping to run a half marathon next summer!
  • bump...i've been skimming the recipes trying to decide what to make for dinner, but i keep coming back to this recipe...guess i'll have to make it tonight!
  • what is a tempo run?
  • this sounds manageable! and also right with what i was thinking i needed to do...thanks everyone! i'm going to try doing a little speed work (as "speedy" as i can be, lol) this week and see how that feels...
  • TS65- i may have asked this before, but what program are you using for your c210k? i just ran my 2nd 5k today and i need something to help me with my endurance!
  • doing my 2nd 5k tomorrow...nervous that it's going to be harder than the first, since i haven't done a whole lot of running this week, while i recovered from last weekend's 5k...
  • i tend to eat a really big breakfast full of fiber AND protein...if not, i'm starving again immediately after eating and then tend to overeat all day...

  • you said you got messages that about your metabolism...that's usually MFP's way of saying that you're not getting ENOUGH calories...make sure you never net less than 1200 calories a day...if you exercise, eat back those calories! i was on a two week plateau, and upped my calories from 1360 to 1610 this week...and i lost…
  • Outdoor running is SOOO much more enjoyable for me than running on the treadmill...it is a little harder on your body, since the treadmill offers a little more "bounce back" then the road, but it's worth it, i think. Check out www.dailymile.com....u can track your mileage and figure out your mile pace...helps keep me…
  • I buy the Bob's Steel Cut Oats, in the baking aisle, and they are like $3.00 a bag and each bag has like 15 servings in it...so it's actually cheaper than that instant goo...i make 4 servings at a time, because it takes like 15-20 minutes to make on the stovetop, then i refrigerate it and eat it daily!
  • dude, Tater Tot Casserole is one of my very favorite foods and i have racking my brain trying to figure out a way to make it healthier...i'm going to try this sometime this week!!
  • i love steel cut oats...also, your profile picture is hilarious!!
  • i'm not actually anywhere near the 10k race point yet...i just ran my first 5k last weekend and am looking for ways to increase my running endurance (with intervals)...i found the C25k program prepped me to run for 30 minutes straight, but i took 38 minutes to run the 5k, so i wasn't quite prepared for that...
  • What is the one hour runner program? when i ran my 5k, i found that i COULD run for 30 minutes, which the program prepared for me...but those extra 8 minutes it took me to run the last 3/4 mile were really hard...
  • I had to do week 3 a couple times before i had the courage to move on to week 4....i did my first 5k this past weekend and ran it in 38 minutes! Pretty proud, considering how hard i remember that first week being for me...
  • ran my first 5k today...did it in 38 minutes...had to walk a couple times (for a minute, max) to get my heart rate down after some killer hills, but i think it was a success...my goal was completing it in under 40 minutes, so... i'm signing up for another one next weekend!
  • i started running about 8 weeks ago, using the C25k program, 3 times a week...now i've built up to 3-5 times a week, about 1.5-2.5 miles each time...my calves have only JUST stopped aching since day 1, lol...turns out i wasn't stretching good enough or long enough after i finished my jog...now that i stretch better, my…
  • i live in the US...i wish they sold that here because it sounds delicious!!
  • i was taking fish oil, 2 mg a day, for about a month but i started getting horrible stomach aches. it might've just been a coincidence and NOT the fish oil, but i stopped taking them...now, a few weeks later, my stomach aches are gone and i'm afraid to start taking them again, although i want to!
  • i would eat something healthy and substantial before the party...that way you won't be hungry and can stop yourself after a few tastes of party food and won't over do it!
  • i make plain air popped corn and it's 20 calories per cup, popped...so for 5 cups with added stuff on it (microwave style), i'd say it'd have to be more than 60 calories!
  • i love them, but they're too expensive for me to buy regularly...but i always steal one from my mom's freezer when i stop by to visit!
