  • I like Premier Protein. 160 calories, 30 grams of Protein. I have had bariatric surgery so they have replaced a meal a few times for me. Not sure if it would do the same for someone with a normal stomach. Lots of flavors and taste great to me.
  • Just found this little gem. Bumping cause I need it bad!
  • I am also in the planning/research stage and plan on going all-in on Monday, June 3. My story is I had Bariatric Surgery in Dec 2013 and lost close to 100 pds~ I was not the biggest person to have this done at only mid-200s but on a 5 foot frame it was just too much! I have kept most of the weight off but find that those…
  • WOW~ me too!! Sooooo needed this......how in the world did the universe know what I needed today???
  • Seriously, they've both been so inspirational to all of us!! I haven't been around much myself due to some tummy issues but still fightin' the good fight!! Hugs to all.....
  •   Gray!!
  • I found this interesting post on a Diabetes Forum: In "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living", the authors recommend that people eating very low carb make sure to get enough salt in their diet. In their clinical trials they would supplement with 3-5 g of salt a day to prevent headache, dizziness, weakness and…
  • I read this after it was recommended by Heybales in another thread. I say "I read this" but what I really mean is, I read it about 5 times before I got it!!:blushing: It's an excellent article and I even bookmarked it but prepare yourselves folks, the numbers are mind-boggling!!
  • Good Luck Brad! Shaking things up may be just the thing to do. Careful though, I checked your diary (for some ideas) and your Sodium is waaaay high. It's my understanding that Ketosis is somewhat stressful on the kidneys. That much sodium on top of that might not the best thing for your body overall.:indifferent: I know…
  • Hmmm....MY version of junk foods: Pizza once a week, York Peppermint Patties occasionally, Potato Chips here and there, Ice Cream.
  •    Raynn:heart:    YOU rock!!!!
  • Hey buddy, I gotta admit I'm kinda shocked to see this. You seemed to be doing so well. The patience part of this is really hard to take sometimes, believe me, I KNOW! No matter what you decide to do, just promise me this: that you won't go back to "out of control eating" of any kind, OK? Do what you have to do to "stay in…
  • I guess we could go on for days about the Biggest Loser, couldn't we? I just want to say how excited I am for YOU, Leigh, for winning that door prize!! You BETTER take those personal training sessions!! Could be a "turning point" for you......
  • Thanks for sharing your stories. I went for the GI consult and I'm getting a UGI with Small Bowel Xray exam. I am a retired X-ray Tech so I know what this is all about and that it's no big deal. He is leaning towards IBS and in addition to the Bentyl from my Primary, he advised me to take Probiotics. I got some generic…
  • (((HUGS))) cause I know how you feel. I gained a total of 24 pounds since EM2WL~ 14 of it on Reset. Your post is identical to one of mine about 4-6 weeks ago. I HAD to go and buy new, LARGER clothes, was very, very uncomfortable and at times, in physical pain and was just about ready to reach for my Weight Watchers…
  • HOWEVER..... ALWAYS make sure that sure you are netting your BMR. TDEE and Cut are averages and some days you may burn more than others. For you, if your goal is 1750 and your BMR is 1400ish and you burn 4 or 500 calories one day, you would only be netting 1250 and you'd need to eat around 150 more cals to get to your BMR…
  • It all depends on how much effort you want to put into saving money and/or getting the best deal. I used to go to Sam's and am now a member of BJ's and if you know your prices, some of the things at the wholesale stores really AREN'T any cheaper than a supermarket sale price. That being said the things that I've found that…

  • Amen!! The emotional "healing" of our body and our mind's view of it can not be measured on any scale!! Wonderful, wonderful post Jess:heart:
  • Hi Everyone! I'm back from my Girl's Trip to Vermont and it was fabulous!! The weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time. I did a LOT of walking and ALL of the girls were VERY health concious this year about meals and I must say we did VERY well with food and only drank wine. (well, there were a couple of Bailey's…
  • Hi Leigh~ I'm leaving tomorrow morning for vacation until Sunday. I'll be in Vermont, home of all foods organic and delish but also the home of the beautiful Green Mountains and some hilly countryside. Heaven forbid, I'm not going to "label" what I'm doing:laugh: but it will "look like" this: eat at my current TDEE even…
  • I would like to add to the Maintenance conversation by saying that I had trained my body to believe that 600-700 cals per day was maintenance for ME. Translation: I ate at that level for YEARS and stayed the same. I exercised like crazy and probably netted 200-300 calories per day and lost nothing!! I weighed 190-200…
  • Mornin' everyone~:flowerforyou: Leaving for my annual Girl's Trip so perhaps this week (week 6 of Cut) will be my "diet break" week:laugh: As a group we are all pretty health concious but we will be in Vermont with all that fantastic organic food and, well, ya know..... All of you have a wonderful week~ if the…
  • You can start exercising as soon as you feel up to it. There is no body composition requirement to start lifting so go for it! (I'm 5 ft, 219 pds and 51 years old) As to the breastfeeding calories, I believe the number is more like 500 additional calories (but can probably be Tweaked like everything else) and that you are…
  •  I wanna be Jen when I grow up!
  • Wow~ what an inpsiring story and so many of us can relate!! I feel the same way about NOT having to "worry" about every social invitation. Thanks for taking the time to post this~ so many of us need all the inspiration we can get!!
  •  TripleJ:heart:  Send Lucia or KiKi a PM~ you will be amazed at what you'll find out from them!! Don't let another sad day go by.......K?:smooched:
  • Nice, Leigh!! I agree with #s 1, 2, & 3 but I JUST got my wedding back on~ it's been off since May!!:noway: I like all the recent posts about this being an INDIVIDUAL thing and that things like EM2WL, NROL4W & today I read even Scooby, are just guidelines and that we all need to tweak EVERYTHING to ourselves. If we…
  • I just recently went to 70 cals over my BMR for NON exercise days, then "eating back" my exercise cals when I do workout. This is a "Tweak" because using an "average" to get my TDEE and Cut wasn't working for me.
  • Nicole~ What I'm also saying is that Lucia is RIGHT and that EM2WL is a Guideline and has to be tweaked to the individual~ this girl is saying it a bit differently but I think it's the same message. I got something BEYOND MEASURE out of my Reset experience that has nothing to do with numbers: I believe I was able to…
  • OK, so using my Reset numbers I GAINED 14 pounds in 6 weeks~ I entered this as -14(negative 14) right? The number came out to be my BMR that Scooby gave me~ 1633 Can you re-check it? Actual weight lost= 14 pounds GAINED/ 6 weeks Predicted loss= 0 (reset) Ate 2455 calories per day (TDEE) for 6 weeks or 45 days. This is…
