  • I have limited time in the gym - about 50 - 60 minutes so I did as much as I could for 10 minutes and then moved on. It did get my heart pumping and I didn't feel like I hadn't properly stretched. When I was done I had 5 min before I had to leave so I did my regular stretches then. No foam rollers yet though!
  • I lift because I like feeling strong. It makes me feel secure and confident. I lift because I like exercising, but I'm really bad a running. I make gains in strength if I put in effort in a way I've never succeeded with cardio. I lift because it's good for my health and I want to be a healthy mother one day and live a long…
  • Great, thanks! When I read NROL4W, the author talked about how some people can train unevenly and it can be bad, but I guess he meant training biceps and not triceps or quads vs hamstrings.
  • Just wanted to say hi. I've been doing Stronglifts since about November. I did NROL4W before that. Right now I'm at Squat 125 lbs Bench press 25 lbs deadlift 80lbs Overhead press 65 lbs Barbell Row 80 lbs I can probably deadlift more, but I have been lazy at the gym and I have just been using the heaviest barbell in my…
  • And I've finally finished! Going away this weekend for Easter. When I get back I'm recommitting to my food journal and I'm going to order Turbocharged! Good luck ladies!
  • I think I spoke too soon! I strained my shoulder during my workout Monday so I'm going to rest it for a week before I do the last workout. Yesterday morning was awful, I had slept on my injured shoulder and it hurt a lot. I was thinking of calling in sick, but I actually felt better sitting up straight than standing or…
  • I'm on the "round two" of stage seven. Only have two workouts left. Doing #5 for the second time today. I should be done on Wednesday! Hooray! This is intense, and several times I felt like I was going to vomit from exertion. I have been feeling tired on this stage and have had to limit my workouts to three per week total…
  • Stage 7, I am in you!! Finished the first workout yesterday, some minor DOMS. It took a bit of experimenting to see what weights to use with that many reps, but when it was done I felt GREAT! So proud of myself for sticking with this. Congrats to everyone - we can do it! :)
  • Finished Stage 6 on Friday. Taking a few days off, will start stage 7 next week!
  • Started stage 6 yesterday. I really think I'll be doing "real" pushups soon!
  • Finished stage 5! Woo Hoo! Starting Stage 6 today, see you in that thread, ladies!!
  • Don't sweat it! I have sprained my ankle twice and I never ever want to do it again. So just regular squats and lunges for me, TYVM!
  • Started stage 5 today! Very excited that I'm still doing the program! (Could be better with tracking food though!)
  • Finished stage 4! Took a while bc (warning gross TMI) I had to have some warts removed from my feet so just walking normally hurt like a $&@#%^*+¥£€ for about 5 or 6 days. Results: Front squat/push press 45 lbs Step up Step + 4 levels, 40 lb dumbbells Dumbbell one-point row 30 lb dumbbells Static Lunge, rear foot elevated…

  • YOU GUYS! Probably booking a February vacation this week with two other couples somewhere in the Caribbean. This is the incentive I needed to start food journaling again. I want to get down to at least my honeymoon weight. I've really slacked on that. Still working out (just finished stage 3!) and looking forward to…
  • Finished Stage 3 One armed dumbbell snatch - 15 lb dumbbell Dumbbell single leg Romanian dead lift - 35 lb dumbbells Barbell bent-over row 80lbs Dumbbells single arm overhead squat 10, 20 lb dumbbells Dumbbell incline bench press - 20 lb dumbbells Planking is still difficult, did it for 35 seconds once! • Did the B workout on Thursday and my second A workout on Saturday. I was planning on going to the gym today, but I don't think I'll be going out in Sandy's hurricane winds! Might do a yoga DVD later. Stay safe everyone!!

  • Did my first 3A workout yesterday. I also got my period, so I have DOMS and TOM ;) I don't know how I am moving my arms to type this. I only have about an hour in the gym because of the way my schedule is, so I wound up doing the BWM about an hour later at home. Would it be better to do the BWM later at home, or do like:…

  • I gained a pound since starting the program. However, this past Friday, it was the first day of my period, which means I was probably bloated and retaining water, and I was able to fit into pants I usually can't wear unless I'm at least 5 - 7 pounds lighter. So something good is definitely happening!
  • I started Stage 2 yesterday and it kicked my *kitten*. It was pretty awesome. I was totally destroyed at the end and it felt great. Before NRL4W, I never got the rush from weight training that I did from cardio. Going to get on the scale today before some light cardio, and see if I have gained or lost weight. and I really,…
  • Finished Stage 1 last week on 9/13! I really should start taking pictures and measurements! I've gained some strength and I can see more definition in my arms and in my waist. I'm wearing a pair of pants that I haven't been able to wear unless I weigh at least 5 pounds less than I do, so that's good. =)
  • I think the new update lets you build to level 5, so don't do that just yet!
  • I'm back! Was on vacation last week and had a bit of a cold over the weekend. I did workout B7 yesterday and was able to increase my deadlift weight and stay the same on everything else, so I'm happy about that. Now I have to pay more attention to diet.
  • I spelled it wrong, it's an Omron: http://www.amazon.com/Omron-Logic-Monitor-model-HBF-306C/dp/B00006WNPU It sends a mild electrical charge through your body and sees how long it takes or how much resistance there is. You don't feel anything though.
  • Me too, but like I said, you can click on all of the squares in the chart to find someone from your gender or country with similar stats.
  • If I click on the picture, I can see the whole thing.
  • I think I can see a difference in the back of your shoulders. You look great! Keep up the good work!
