  • I'm 5'9.. here are my pics: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/690733-80-lbs-lost-with-pics-meaning-to-post-this-for-a-while
  • It could even be you are underestimating how much you eat. Do you have a food scale? Are you measuring everything that you eat?
  • When I was 230 (I'm 5'9) I didn't love how I looked but I didn't ever feel like I was REALLY big. Now that I am at my current weight (149) I am SHOCKED by how I looked back then.
  • I'm 5'9, wear a US size 8/10 (UK size 10/12). I weigh 149lbs.
  • It could very well be hormonal. Is there any way you can go to a doctor about it? Maybe there is some imbalance somewhere. I do recommend as others have said to eat more though to start!
  • You look absolutely beautiful and HEALTHY. Definitely not fat!
  • I know way too many people who tried to train for a half marathon in not enough time and got REALLY injured. I'm talking like physical therapy for 3 or 4 months. It's probably not worth the risk. Once you start getting into the longer distances, hydration and diet are REALLY important. Also I high recommend making sure you…
  • I eat 1/2lb to 1lb of chicken breast a day + 1 cup greek yogurt + 3 egg whites +no supplements, I can hit 150-160g+ a day in protein.
  • This happens to me all the time and something I've struggled with a lot and honestly there is nothing you can do about it. If they are someone you are close to just explain to them what you said to us and hopefully they will understand. You just have to try to not let it get to you.
  • I really think you should listen to your medical professional in this case. Professional trainers nor marines were trained for this kind of information. If it would make you feel better you should get a second opinion from another doctor.
  • Most people think I weight about 130 but I weigh about 150 (I'm 5'9)
  • Can't see your diary, but I'm betting its something with your food and not your lack of exercise.
  • I'd say the running and stationary bikes (mostly the running) will contribute to it. I'd say if you need/want the cardio, try finding other ways of doing it. My trainer hates running so her calves are actually quite tiny. I think she does a lot of dance and kickboxing for her cardio. As a side note, I consider 13"calves to…
  • I'm 5'9. Current/goal weight is 150lbs. At my heaviest I was 235lbs. Not planning on losing any more weight since I am happy with my weight currently :) I'm fairly large framed.
  • Is a RHR of 80 considered low? That actually seems somewhat high. I thought a "normal" RHR is about 65. Mine is about 50. Anyway, as nicola says it's not an indicator of how hard you are working. For example, you could be lifting 100lb weights and your heart rate may barely change but you are definitely working HARD. If…
  • I use this as well and I agree it is by far the best calculator.
  • You are at the point now where your weight loss will definitely slow down.. that being said 1lb/week is still really good! It sounds like you workout quite a bit so it sounds like maybe you aren't eating enough (although I'm not sure how tall you are). I took a look at your food diary and it looks pretty good for the most…
  • Broccoli, cauliflower, berries, green beans/haricot verts all have a LOT of fiber. Also make sure you drink enough water! No less than 8 cups a day.
  • Playing Guild Wars 2 right now. Will probably move onto Torchlight 2 next.
  • I noticed this site has a lot of hate for circuit training/cardio. Yes, lifting heavy is great for you and you will achieve amazing results this way, but lots of people also have gotten amazing results with HIIT/circuit training as well. My feeling is as long as you are moving more and being more active and being realistic…
  • Congrats on your weight loss. I know for me now I have to practically kill myself to get my heart rate as high as I used to get when I was overweight :P, but I definitely think it's awesome that I can do so much more without my heart skyrocketing.
  • Keep in mind this is also their job and sadly this job dictates a certain body type if you want to be a part of it. As someone else mentioned most women who are extremely fit tend to lose a lot of their boobs because of how much they workout. My bootcamp instructor is a bikini fitness model and she has fake boobs. I am not…
  • I'm 5'9 When I was size 14/16 (233lbs): Now at 8/10 (152lbs): Oops forgot to add how I did it. Nothing magical. I focused on eating less carbs (not completely low carb, but I tried to eat 150g or less a day, and then filled the rest with protein and fat. I tried not to eat too much starches.. mainly ate lots of veggies,…
  • Are you looking for exactly 250 or is less okay? http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/01/petite-chocolate-chip-banana-bread.html http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/08/honey-coconut-blueberry-bran-muffins.html
  • Lost 80lbs never stepping foot in a gym. First and foremost, eat healthy. Second, find a good workout you can stick with.
  • I would say don't worry too much about it. I personally bloat when I have too much sugar (or really any carbs) so that is my main reason for making sure I try to stay under on sugar.
  • http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/05/buffalo-turkey-burgers-with-blue-cheese.html If you don't want anything quite as elaborate (assuming one serving): some garlic powder, onion powder, dash of salt and pepper, and 1/4 an egg.
  • Pretty much this. I tend to avoid starches and try to stick to 100-150g of carbs and this has made me feel great and lose a lot of weight. However, I realize this is not possible for everyone and would never say my way is the only correct way to lose weight. I know many people who look AMAZING and eat 200+g carbs a day and…
  • I drink 16oz of coffee in the morning with 2tbsp of half and half. I find the fattier the milk, I don't need any sweetener or sugar at all. I use Trader Joes brand which is only about 35 calories for those 2tbsp.
  • I am maintaining and keeping a diary (maintaining now for almost a year). I am a lot less strict now and dont worry about going over as much but it really helps keep me in check and make sure my macros are where I want them.
