Thanks, everyone. I am just back after giving up last time - same issue - but this time I'm hoping to be more determined about the outcome. I'm thinking about only counting inches instead of pounds. In fact I don't even have a scale right now.

Awesome. I wouldn't take offense at all. Your husband knows he loves you for you and you know it too. If others want to call you a trophy wife then WOOT for you!

bulk with weights. Eat lots of carbs and do lots of strength training.

I have hot cocoa often in the afternoons as a pick me up and I make it my afternoon snack.

Can I get in on this? I stay at home with my two kids - Jonah age 4 and Maeryn age 5 months. I'm totally up for the H2O challenge because I SUCK at meeting the water requirements. Let's do it!

Welcome to the site! I am totally with you on all your stuff. I've lost a LOT of my overhang and have gone down a size in jeans since joining this site. I have stretch marks, but I'd still like to get rid of the muffin top and get some abs :) Go Moms!

Hey - I'm new to the team. I'll be losing that pound this week  GRRR!

I'm going to try and get back on the bus with this - stopped around week 3 last time and never got back into it.

Just got back from a 20 mile ride. It was a nice day - cold in the morning, runny nose and fogged glasses and etc, but I stripped off the top layers after about twenty minutes on the road and it turned out to be a really great time. I was riding with my husband and two friends - one of whom was running on little sleep so…

Hey - welcome to the site! Everyone here is so supportive and it WILL help to keep you in line. Definitely make this your homepage so that you use it as often as possible - post stuff, and join one of the weight loss teams. There are often threads about them - I'm on team purple. Set small, achievable goals for yourself,…

Went hiking today at the local state forest - 4 miles with my four year old, husband, and five month old - burned 1200 calories! Whoo hoo!

I'm hiking this weekend. A lot of people have posted that this is amazing exercise and burns tons of calories and it couldn't be more true. I burned over 3000 calories on my last hike (7.5 miles over 6 hours with my four year old, baby, and husband carrying a pack) and it was so much fun! Keep hydrated and eat lots! How…

Ran 2.8 miles yesterday. Working toward a 5K.

I ate a banana and soup for lunch instead of lots of fattening stuff like mac n cheese (eek!) and I read my hubby's cycling mag last night to motivate me to go out for my run when he gets home from work! :drinker:

I've not been to MFP in weeks. I've lurked a little on the forum, but I haven't been logging my food, only my VERY occasional exercise. And I'm gaining the weight back. :ohwell: I don't know what happened. I guess I just got lazy and busy at the same time. I'm not gaining a lot, in fact, I don't REALLY know if I'm gaining…

Whoo hoo!!! Been veg two years in August and it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel so much better about the choices I'm making. GO VEG!!!!

I'm doing it in DC this coming May!!! It's a 40 mile walk and it's not for the faint of heart! Lots of hills! I tried it before I got pregnant want my daughter and only made it 22 miles, then I had to go home because I killed myself  This year, I'd like to do the entire thing. I have to raise 1800 bucks to do it. If…

AMAZING job!!!!!

Late night is really hard because you don't really know what's going on, just that you're hungry, so willpower is at a minimum. Poptarts are HORRID for you - I learned the hard way. They have a ton of calories and they don't last long at all. I ate two for breakfast while I was pregnant and ended up at the nurses office at…

:) My seat used to hurt a LOT there - maybe get a new seat from a good store. Mine actually stopped hurting there when I cycled more.

I'm not training for anything in particular - my husband is a cyclist and it's something I'd like to do with him. He stayed with me the whole time, even though I was SO much slower than he could've gone - he was really sweet.

HOORAY!!!:drinker:

I rode 35 miles on my bike today!!!! It was a huge accomplishment for me. The farthest I've gone before is 18 miles. I am in pain.
-
Whoo hoo!!!! I can't wait to do my first 5 K! Way to go!

SWEET!

Now what? I ran 2.2 miles this evening, and I'm slow so it took me about 30 minutes. I didn't eat all of my calories to begin with (I recently was prompted to change my goals and whatnot, and I did that, so I have some more calories to work with than I'm used to) - but I didn't expect my homemade wheat bread to be quite…
