  • i pigged out for a day, gained a few and then went back to dieting. It broke the cycle for me. I remember sitting at the 200 mark for what seemed forever though. Just keep with it and it will drop.
  • Thanks for the congrats...its been a lot of hard work but well worth it. We will do a 5K in late July or August. At least thats the goal.
  • funny..my wife and I just finished W2D3 on to week 3...going great so far. We were up to 8.5 miles of 4.5 walking though before we started. Walked for nearly a year. That was getting to the point of being too much time which is why we decided to try this. We are not totally following directions as we alternate every other…
  • i eat several times a day about 200-300 cals at each point every 2-3 hours. Coming home was always tough for me but by eating something around 200 cals, higher in protein, seemed to help me

  • I can understand the hard times being bored and eating. I normally plan to eat several times a day. I eat 200 cals a little after I get at at 7am, I eat 100 cals at 8:30, 200 more at 11:00, 200 more at 4pm and then the rest at dinner at 6pm and then a small snack around 60 cals before bedtime. I believe by planning those…
  • I eat 1500 cals a day to lose, I will eat 2000 to maintain. I work inside and behind a computer most day, I do walk 3-4 times a week. 3000 to me is way too much
  • fantastic job. I just hit 100 and I know it must feel great.
  • Cut out caffeine completely, tea can be very high in caffeine and in some people 1 cup is enough to wire them all night. I personally would stay away from the "natural sleep aids". In my experience they work, but not until many hours later when it is time to get up and plays heck on your day. Everybody is different so they…
  • Blackbean brownies, surprisedly good and good for you. Just get you favorite brownie mix dump in a can of black beans, juice and all, and cook.
  • My scale is dead on if I step on it at 2 separate times. It is made by Taylor. However I have had scales give me varying readings. The only will reason however I use a scale is to make sure I am heading the right direction. As long as the +/- range is going downward you shouldnt be concerned.
  • i agree with just eating good non processed foods. Portion contol. Water and exercise. Nutrisystem seems a bit spendy for what it is.
  • probably would have been better to eat the meatballs with no cheese or bread. Anyhow just tally it down and keep to your limits, I dont think it will be that bad

  • not uncommon at all for people to drop weight like that when they first start, even now I will drop 3-4 for no apparent reason. Many factors including water at play. My first week of dieting I lost 8lbs. Most will say to weigh once a week but I still weigh daily.

  • My BMR srates 2100 cals, Goal is 1800, I eat between 1500-1800 and am averaging 2lbs a week. I walk 3 days a week for 30-60 minutes but do not add that in. See what works, I was not losing and eating too few calories at that time. Everyone is different.
  • Naked in the morning before getting into the shower
  • I highly recommend tracking what you eat. There are apps at there for any smartphone or a good ol journal always is nice. Guesstimating what you are eating was one of my biggest problems. This also goes for measuring food, your eyesight cup of something will be different than an actual cup
  • I use to think exercise was a curse for dieting. I lost quicker when I didnt do it. But then again, I gain just as fast. This is my last diet this time, and exercise has been a big key for me. I feel better, clothes are a lot looser, and weight may not be dripping off at 4 lbs a week but I am losing. I hit the elliptical…
  • I eat them for lunch 2-3 times a week. I also like the Campbell's Select soups which are convenient
  • fat burning zone should be on the machines you do cardio on. Strength training can make you can weight as you are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.
