thank you very much! it has been a lot of work but also a lot of fun.
-
it's truly amazing!! running is such a great sport.

I am 5'5 and I run about 4 days a week. Right now I'm training for a half marathon and I'm at about 17 miles/week. That'll get much higher.

the only thing that would make it tastier/more nutritious would be to stuff the pita with some dark leafy greens (lettuce or spinach).

Bananas! They are one of my dietary stapes along with peanut butter, spinach and avocados. It is worth making room for them in your daily sugar rations. They provide carbs, fiber and potassium! My recent love is a ripe banana blended with part of an avocado, a bunch of spinach, and a little sweet fruit like strawberries.

This sounds soooooo good! Rooster sauce and peanut butter...two of my favorite things!
-
Why are people still so afraid of fat? This is GOOD fat! Bring on the avocados!!!
-
thank you for posting this!! LOVE the fact that it's got only 4 ingredients.
-
I agree with this completely. Healthy, whole, real foods are an investment in your current and future health.
-
Oh interesting!! I didn't know you could do this w/ a hand blender. I thought my hand blender required liquid.
-
You don't need to add ANY other ingredients. Just buzz the banana in a food processor and that's all you need.

Couch to 5k, cross train with other cardio and weight training!
-
You buzz them for a couple min in your food processor till they reach the consistency of soft serve!
-
wow it's like magic!

Hey you know what would be an interesting addition? Cinnamon. I bet it would taste like horchata.

I use the Nike+ sportband. A word of warning...make sure to calibrate it with at least 1 mile of running. I calibrated it with .5 miles, relied on the sportband for training, and then ran in a 7.5 mile race. At the end of the race, my sportband said I had gone 9 miles! I then re-calibrated it in a track using about 1.5…

Dry shampoo...or don't wash your hair after morning workout and wear your hair up in a bit of a greasy updo...updos are easier with grimy hair.

What works for me is a shot of espresso plus a small, easily digestible carb before the run (maybe a banana or crackers). After the run, a whey protein shake is perfect.

If this is a PROFESSIONAL goal for you, then maybe you should consider hiring a trainer who specializes in getting fitness models into shape. Did you ever see the episode of MTV True Life where the girl from an ivy league school wanted to go from average to pro bodybuilder? She hired a trainer who got her RIPPED!!! Truly…

black, jet fuel strength from Peet's, 1/10 a cup of skim milk. I nurse it throughout the day.

These sound seriously delicious. I'll stop by Whole Foods and check it out.
-
I just got a new cereal...Trader Joe's Nutty Toffee Clusters... oh god it's almost too much to handle. So delicious. For a while I was only eating Kashi, so this feels like eating dessert for breakfast. I'll have to switch after this.

If my bacon had 40 calories per slice, I'd definitely eat 5 slices at a time! For now, I'm hooked on the 70 cal a piece kind, so I keep it in check.
-
This is what I eat, too. The nitrate free applewood, uncured. SO GOOD.

I THINK WE ARE FOOD SOULMATES. Literally, when I was a little kid, my parents rewarded me for straight a's with a can of smoked oysters.

Does your boyfriend get sick off the other ancient grains?
-
I am 5'5" and would be happy with 120-125. When I weighed myself a few wks ago I was at about 126 or 127.
-
Thanks guys! Yes, I have access to bulk bins for pretty much any grain. I think I will just sample a bunch. I'm just nervous about getting sick off of them.

Anyone? Bueller?
