I LOVE it that this thread is on a fitness and weight loss board  Like Elvis, I adore peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Unfortunately, this means that I look a bit like Elvis when he'd eaten a few of those yummy butties.

Yes, though I know it's irrational.
-
This is so inspiring. Thank you.

We're actually WAY cooler than those guys... :glasses:

Helo! 'Dwi yng Nghanolbarth Cymru hefyd, lle wyt ti? Good luck to our boys with the rugby on Saturday... I am saving up calories for a beer or two!
-
Welcome :) I try to use a bit of common sense- If I'm not hungry, then I don't eat. That usually means I'm below my calorie goal by quite a lot. I do tend to store up those uneaten calories for Friday night! Also, what has worked wonders for me is having a weekly spike day- A day where you eat a lot more than your…

One day, I will be able to afford a trip to the USA and taste all this delicious sounding stuff you all speak of. Taco Bell? Peanut butter M & Ms? Dairy Queen Blizzards? It all sounds so exotic to me ESPECIALLY corn dogs (I have no idea what they are, but I want one!) I used to binge all the time, never thinking of it as…

Sounds lovely and comforting! Thanks.

I've only just discovered spike days (am now on maintenance) and they're brilliant! It really keeps e going during the week to know I have that one day a week where I don't think about it. So, you see, that chocolate fondue I had on Saturday night was actually good for weight loss. :glasses:

Weight watchers wraps taste like paper. No, paper is nicer. They taste like paper from the Inland Revenue <vom> This thread makes me want chips.
-
I've cut out bread in the week and have ryvita crackerbread instead. It's made a huge difference to my weightloss. I hear you, though. Ham sandwich the same as fish from a chippy! Who'd have thought it?
-
Hello from Wales! Nice to see a few people from Cymru on here. I've been here for a few months, and have lost 3 and a half stone since last Easter (though not all through MFP). Trying to maintain now. Well done on your weightloss!
-
I think it's natural to hit a kind of wall. I've reached the part now where everyone stops commenting that I've lost weight- It's old news if you see what I mean- And I find it SO hard to maintain without that encouragement. But I keep giving myself goals- BY Valentine's day I'll look great in this dress etc- And that…

Hello! I'm not in your position, but wanted to say that both my children were conceived when I was watching what I was eating- It seemed to make a huge difference to me. Good luck to you!
-
I'm in mid-Wales, and have just added you. I've been losing weight for almost a year, but still need encouragment! Good luck x

This thread is quite exotic for me, as I'm in Wales and there are some American brands I don't know. Wendy's, for instance. I want a Wendy's, and I don't even know what it is... :ohwell: Peanut butter for me. I can't have it in the house. Also, chocolate rice cakes. They're low cal but not when you eat five :blushing:

Hahaaaaa! That's fantastic! I am 5"11 and weigh about 142 now. Thank you for starting this thread- It's given me some much-needed perspective. I always think I need to lose that little bit more, but maybe I'm overdoing it a bit. I think it's maintaining time! I started at about 190 around a year ago.

I have gotten into the habit of being super healthy during the day- Lunch is rarely more than 300 cals- And having a proper dinner with my family. I think it is about habits- I don't have cheesy meals, no bread during the week (it bloats me but I love it!) and changing family meals from pasta and creamy curry to soup and…

I find that I listened FAR too much to advice when I started out. Everyone's bodies are different, so what works for others won't work for me. For example, I did low carbing for a whole and I have never been as ill in my life. Also, I was told to eat every 2-3 hours, but actually I don't have much of an appetite and it's…

Hellooooo! I'm from Wales but I got a BRILLIANT bargain from a charity shop in Carlisle once, so I always feel a fondness for Cumbria... <pathetic>
-
Request sent from mid-wales- I was in Chester last week as it goes- Niiiiiice!
-
I log anything that makes me sweat. That includes gardening and vigorous cleaning (unfortunately neither is done very often!) I don't get why it would bother you, to be honest. Everyone's different. Doesn't mean there's a right way and a wrong way.

Apparently some people find it better to eat all their calories. However, I found that for me, I could stay well under the allowance as long as I don't have certain foods- Bread makes me put weight on even if I only have one sandwich and all the rest is salad! I reckon if you search "starvation mode" on this site, you'll…
-
If I have less than my calorie allowance, the weight I would be in 6 weeks comes up big and red, and also the words "you are eating too few calories" in red too.
-
Red also comes up if you're under calorie by quite a lot. I think you are meant to eat them all, it helps stabilize the loss (or something like that, I don't get the technical side!) but I rarely get to my goal either.
-
Won't make much sense to those of you in the US, but ryvita crackerbread with marmite. Mmmm.
-
Ugh, what an *kitten*. If people get that out of control when they're drunk, well then they shouldn't drink. I had my 6-year-old niece asking in front of all my inlaws when I was having a baby. She didn't mean anything by it- She's lovely- But it made me cry all night because it was an honest reaction to the way I looked.
-
I am exactly the same as you, and it doesn't seem to matter what I eat, even if it's protein. I'm not hungry in the morning unless I eat breakfast. So after trying and testing different breakfasts, I decided to listen to my body and only eat when I'm hungry. Which usually means I don't eat until 12. I've lost a lot of…

I meant Stelid, of course...

I think Stelis is17. And pretty!
