Congrats!!! Now comes the hard part is keeping it off and not going back to those bad eating habits. I'm from TX also, and I love our Texas BBQ and our very large portions, but I know it's not healthy at all. Stay focus and stay on track. This is a life long journey. Don't worry so much about the numbers on the scale vice the way you look in the mirror. Let the mirror be your guide unless your goal is to weigh a certain number. Yes, if you work hard, listen to the trainer and follow the diet, but you can do that on your own. So save the money and get your butt in the gym.

Low carbs is a great diet, but you must learn what carbs that are good for you and which ones are bad for you. Too many of the wrong carbs will be stored as fat. I've been on the proper low carbs for over 8 yrs, and I am able to maintain my desire weight.

Also, I just looked at your food diary......and WoW! Eating donuts is not the way to dropping the weight. Trust me, I don't mean to be rude or to hurt you, but you food diary needs a major over haul. Once you eat the proper food that doesn't have tons of sugar and process food then you will be able to drop the weight.

I take Pure Protein by Eat Good Look Great. You can get it from Wal Mart for under $20 for 22 servings. It has 25g of proetin, 8g of Carbs, 3g of fat and 2g of sugar per serving and it taste great with water.

Read books, internet, watch TV shows and learn that not all things will work for everyone. Diet, eat to live and not live to eat. Drink tons of water. Well if you're doing all of those noises, then IMO you're not supplying enough oxgen to your muscle. And you need this to fatigue the muscle so it will repair itself to grow and to get stronger. Just my two cents!

Good point! We do go heavy, but we do more than just one to 3 reps. And we don't make all that noise in the gym either. LOL

I starting working out when I couldn't run for 12 weeks due to a broken ankle. That was 20 yrs ago and i still love hitting the weights twice a day. Not for size but to shape each muscle to make them sharp.

Bobybuilder for me. I don't care if I can lift a house with one single arm, but I do care about how much bodyfat I have and how I can make each body part as ripped as I can. I like to look lean and fit in a nice suit and when I take my shirt off, I want to see my abs and not a big beer gut.

Low carbs will make you drop the weight fast, but you must learn how to eat the right carbs at the right moment. When I get ready for a competition, I graudally drop my carbs over 3 months to drop 20 pounds. It's hard but very rewarding when I do it.
