In Georgia, the Georgia Weapons Carry License covers handguns and knives over 5 inches. As long as you have a license, Georgia allows open or concealed carry; so you have a lot of options. I open carry occasionally, but mostly “lazy conceal” (concealed but not concerned with printing) with a belt holster and a shirttail or…

Dayam, and I thought peeing with a Smartcarry was complicated.....

I've tried leaving the Fitbit on while riding, but the combined calorie burn between Fitbit and MapMyRide is higher than than just using MapMyRide alone (not good) and also has a weird time offset (MapMyRide data appears later on Fitbit website than reality), so that's why I take the Fitbit off - it only tracks BMR…

The most valuable thing my Fitbit does for me is define those days when I'm more active than the sedentary level I have MFP set to. If I'm being a slug or working at my desk all day, the fitbit does not add any exercise calorie credit, but if I'm walking more during a day, the Fitbit's sync with MFP automatically takes…

I'm thinking of something similar, air operated with a tennis-ball-can sabot containing a fish net with weighted perimeter, for fun, low altitude anti-drone defense. Otherwise just rely on my Mossberg 500 12ga. or my EDC gun, Ruger LC9.

Who knew kitchen scales were gender based? Seriously, the perfect digital scale for me would have the normal tare and unit toggle buttons plus the ability to enter serving size in grams or ounces (keypad required) and would simultaneously display both the weight and number of servings. If you wanted to geek it out then…

I have a Fitbit One, and it does accurately count steps and changes in altitude, giving you credit for a flight of stairs for every 10 ft. climb. When I'm sitting still or not wearing it, the Fitbit counts calories at it's estimate for my BMR. On the Fitbit website graphs, it shows calorie burn in 15 minute increments. For…

No votes for Ant-Man? Maybe after he get his movie, scheduled for release in 2015 with Paul Rudd in the title role.

Consider something with multiple carry or attachment points: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJK4n1z29ag

TWD, mainly because I live near where much of it is filmed and it's kind of a hoot to see them do it and to see places I'm familiar with cast in a post-apocalyptic world.

I received this from MapMyFitness tech support. The disconnect/reconnect suggestion does not work for me. Kristen D. (Help & Support) Mar 11 13:23 Bryan, We are aware of the issue and our developers are investigating. At this time, I'm unsure of how quickly it will be fixed, but we do hope to have the problem taken care of…

Same thing for me, started yesterday.

Ah, fat in space, lol! Now we're talking mass, and it's gonna do a lot more damage if your spaceship gets hit with a one-cup size muscle meteor vs. a one-cup size fat meteor!
-
Can't say I've seen anyone here actually claim that a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat. If someone does say muscle weighs more than fat then they are leaving out the phrase "per unit volume" and perhaps that confuses some people. Density is the parameter that expresses weight per unit volume, and muscle is…

This is an example of where a good HRM is useful. Since resistance on a stationary bike is not the same as for a real bike, mileage is not particularly useful. Time and heart rate would be the better parameters to compare effort.

My goto late night snack is a chocolate VitaTop. 90-100 Cal with 9 g of fiber fills the void. They are kind of pricey if you don't get them on sale but Costco usually has the best price. I eat them either hot (nuke for 30 sec) or frozen.

Wow, your's is indeed a severe sensitivity. I think if I could not find a unit that performed well with no metal, I'd use the approach of wrapping the clasp with plastic (baggie) and then wrap that with soft material. No sweat-induced metal contact could occur then.
-
Looking at the strap for my Polar FT7, the clasp appears to be held off my skin by the strap material, but I suppose it's possible for my skin to contact it when it is pulled very tight. The metal is coated with what feels like an enamel paint and no bare metal is apparent. In any case it would not be difficult to wrap a…

Yeah, I figured it would offer up some interesting variation to the typical whipped cream story.

I've not needed to replace my FT7 battery yet, but looking at the battery set from Polar, there is an o-ring that comes with it that must also be replaced. Perhaps the o-ring is not seated correctly, preventing the door from being closed. http://www.polarusa.com/us-en/products/accessories/battery_set_for_FT7_and_FT4

Gotta have my hi-test! In the morning 3-5 cups strong, black, no sweetener. Early evening a double espresso. I must say that with the weight loss the caffeine does affect me more in the evening than it used to, so I try not to drink it after 8 pm.
-
I have a Polar FT7 that calculates calories, but I always plug that number into a spreadsheet that automatically subtracts out my resting calories per minute (measured with my Polar while sitting at my desk for 30 minutes), so the net burn figure I put into my log is a reasonable estimate of what I've done as a result of…

They're easy to try, since a lot of grocery stores sell them. If you like them, Costco has the best price.
-
I like them topped with yogurt.
-
Mine has peaked at 171 a couple of times, which is a bit higher than the standard formula suggests for a 57 y.o. male, 163. I've adjusted my max HR in my Polar FT7 to 171.
-
Try a chocolate VitaMuffin chopped up in the yogurt of your choice. This is one of my favorite quick breakfasts or for an evening snack. High fiber and protein to make you feel full, but low calories.
