Maybe you should try lifting with kettlebells. The weight is distributed differently, maybe they will be easier on your hands.

Thank you for your advice. I may try lamb, I have never had it before. I am also going to try some bison burgers. I have a friend who had trouble with beef, but had no problem with bison. Not being able to eat beef and pork has made my eating a little boring, but I will find a way to get some more variety in there.
