Give it another day or two.

Wow. Here's another one. Sign the petition now to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide! It's very toxic in large doses! http://www.netreach.net/~rjones/no_dhmo.html

I don't monitor sugar too close, I just try and minimize it. I don't worry about natural sugars, just processed sugar. Unless you have a medical reason to monitor it, I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck!

Been taking krill oil pills for about 2 years now (Schiff Mega Red or CVS brand - whichever is on sale). Pros: No fishy aftertaste, small pill, breaks down to more usable compounds faster. Cons: More expensive than regular fish oil. Benefits? Well, I've had consistently good blood work (reduced cholesterol). Others? I…

"Normal" protein is usually considered to be 1 gram per lb of body weight. So, unless you weigh 70 lbs, I wouldn't worry too much. MFP seems to be a tad low on this...

I was deeply honored to be present when my father passed. It's an experience I'll treasure and remember for my entire life. He went very peaceful; he went the way I want to go. It is thought provoking and sobering, but it's an eventuality we'll all face. God bless.

You can always do it the ol' fashioned way (b4 'puters)'; 1. Set a calorie limit for 1 week - eat that (don't bother with exercise calories). 2. Weigh after 1 week. 3. Weight down: up your next week calorie goal, weight up: decrease your next week calorie goal. 4. Repeat step 3 till your weight stabilizes. Congratulations!…

Good grief, 3 meals a day is PLENTY of intake to keep your metabolism moving. Eating just once a day will slow your metabolic rate, but with a calorie deficit, you should still lose a little.

I have to agree. It seems the new "norm" today is eating like a horse, and if you try and be conscious of what you are eating, well, you must have a problem. I just tend to ignore it - after all, I eat just not like I used to (or everyone else seems to be doing).
-
I weigh myself every Friday morning, as soon as I get up (after the bathroom break). Any more than that and you'll probably go mental. Daily fluctuations are normal, but week trends are easier to monitor.

I do resistance bands for some strength and ride a bike for 30 minutes daily. Been working fine for me. In fact, I always ride by a local gym with signs looking for new members....haven't joined yet.

Salad with vinegar (about 30 calories or less per 2 cups), celery (a whole bag can't be a lot of calories), water. Of course, this assumes that you are getting nutrition during the day (this stuff is lacking nutrients).

From http://www.fitnessfrog.com Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) quantifies the number of calories you burn in a day. This measure is best estimated by scaling your Basal Metabolic Rate to your level of activity. TDEE is critical in tailoring your nutrition plan to desired fitness goals. Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)…

Well, I have a desk job so I listed my activity level as sedentary. I do Cardio 7 days a week when I can (ride bike for 30 minutes) and strength. I log the Cardio exercise but not the strength. Been working fine for me.

I would see a medical doctor first, and if they recommend chiropractic therapy, then do it. A chiropractor can make matters worse, if you are not careful.
-
It seems to me the doctor would have given you a diet to follow. If not, then take the results to a registered dietitian or nutritionist and have them develop a food plan or diet you can safely follow. I would opt not for a specific diet plan, but a list of foods you can eat - make your own meal plan from that. My $0.02

It doesn't matter so much how you say it but what you say that stands out.

The place I go to regularly has diet dishes. The one I eat all the time is steamed chicken and vegetables, with about 1 cup of steamed white rice. It's relatively healthy, if you don't gobble it down by the bucket full! :)

I just try to minimize my sugar (and salt). If you start obsessing over the numbers, you'll probably go insane.
-
You should weigh yourself 6 or 7 times a day, and do a weighted average (no pun intended) based on the lunar cycle (when the moon is full, its gravitational pull is more pronounced, so you weigh slightly more). Then record this every week and average it out - that's what you should put down. Sound crazy? It is. Just weigh…

Starting watching Star Trek in the mid to early 70's, so definitely a trekkie. Never even heard of Whovies...go figure.

I use elastic resistance bands for strength workouts and a old 80's mountain bike for moderate cardio. Works great, and is cheap.
-
I plugged your numbers into another calculator at http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/, and got these: BMR = 1378 calories to lose 0.3 lbs per week TDEE = 1653 calories to maintain weight of course, this was with "desk job with little exercise" - if you exercise, you'll add extra calories back sometimes it's nice…

I find clothing, of any kind, restricting at any time - day or night.

Eyesight generally gets worse as we age.

How do you milk an almond?
-
That's a betrayal of trust. Is it cheating? That's up to you to decide if that is acceptable to you from someone who loves you. Only you can answer that question, as only you have to live with the answer. Good luck.

Along with changing your diet, exercise. It's a must. Curbs hunger and you'll feel better.

We don't need TV to entertain us, get it? I said *kitten*.

Are you gaining muscle and losing fat? Scales would go up with that, although that's not bad gain.
