  • I'm eating 1500 calories a day so right on target with that. I know I'm being irrational but I just keep going up. And yes I'm doing exercises me that's water weight but it's pissing me off! I want to go down currently and it's just not working for me.
  • I feel you because I feel the same way. But the weight will come off when it comes off. Better to do it slow than not at all
  • You don't need exercise to lose weight. With everything that's happening I completely understand why it's taken a back seat. Talk to your doctor and find out what calories they recommend, or if they can refer you to a dietician. You can lose weight just by cutting calories. But with your health issues might be best to get…
  • I have PCOS and my symptoms will improve by losing weight. Every disease will improve by losing weight. Plus all the other little aches and pains that you don't realize your having. The people who are 'mean' on this thread are being honest. We were all there and understand. Hell I was back in that mindset not long ago.…
  • Which does bring me back to my point. You're not accurately recording what you eat. I get it. I've been there. But if you're not losing weight at 1700 then you are eating too much. It's that simple.
  • Are you entering the foods yourself? Or using the database? You also need to be weighing.
  • Honestly of you are eating 1500 calories, running 7 miles daily and gaining weight, you need to be in a secure facility so doctors can discover how to harness energy out of nothing. Your are defying the rules of physics. I just looked at your diary and honestly, if that's how you eat it's no wonder you're struggling.…
  • Yes it is. No other disease will cause you to become obese. (Note I'm not saying put on weight, you can put on weight for medical reasons but not obesity) Even Prader-Willis won't make you become obese but it's one that more understandable.
  • No such thing as naturally thin. No such thing as naturally fat. If you overeat you get fat. The only valid medical issue for obsesity isPrader-Willis and even then they're not fat because of the disease but the food they're eating. Excuses about exercise are irrelevant. Losing weight doesn't need exercise. You can lose…
  • The best way to beat tiredness for me is to exercise. I can be half asleep on the train but if I get on the treadmill and do 20/30 minutes I'm awake the rest of the night.
  • The issue with this case is that the hospital didn't give her a choice. They took her to court and told her they'd take her other children away. I don't agree with her decision (I think it's beyond stupid she thinks she knows more than her doctors) but the hospital was dead wrong.
  • The best person to give you this info is your doctor. You need to ask them and then follow what they say.
  • The fact that you haven't lost weight at your size says to me that you're not counting calories correctly. When your bigger you should be losing quickly in the first few weeks, nothing in a month states that you're not counting correctly. Would you mind opening your diary? Do you measure your food out or eyeball it?
  • I had originally lost 40kg with no medication (put some back on when I started eating bad again) It's doable.
  • [ As someone who's legally blind, I had the same question. There's no need to be able to see when swimming. I go in the ocean with no glasses all the time. In a pool, no need for vision.
  • OP you don't need to lose weight. You've pretty much ignored the multitude of people giving you good advice and have grabbed onto the one person who told you what you wanted to hear. You are bordering on too skinny now. You have little definition and losing 10lb will not give you the definition you want. You're more likely…
  • Yup. I used to think I wasn't that bad. My mum and grandma would tell me how big I was but while I knew I had a problem 'I hid it well' When I look at photos of myself at my biggest I cry. I can't believe I was that big. I don't remember BEING that big. Denial can be very strong.
  • ^^but people have work. These workplaces are not paying a living wage and therefore these people are required to go to the govt for assistance, costing more. If they had a wage that allowed them to live, this would reduce welfare. Did you even read the OP?
  • No problem! My advice for change? Measurements, or buy an item of clothing that JUST fits you. Good way to tell if you're getting smaller. I had a pair of jeans that three weeks ago ewe unbearably tight (had to undo th button at work they were so uncomfortable) A week later they were still tight but bearable. So I was…
  • I'd give it at least another month. Your body could be holding onto water weight, there are a number of factors. You're also closer to your goal weight now so it won't be as quick as when you were bigger.
  • First off, losing. My personal bugbear :-) Secondly, how much weight have you lost? You' haven't logged any weight loss in your profile. The OP has a lot less to lose then you, therefore the advice will need to be different. And 'eating like a man' is a lot more calories than what she's doing.
  • It sounds like you've found your maintainence goal (which from your eating is 2000-2200) You don't seem to be doing any exercise so it might be worth adding some exercise into your day and keeping the food intake the same. Also maybe add some water?
  • Well from looking at the past two weeks, you're over more often than not. And there were one or two days of not logging. And the days you were over were by a couple of hundred. D you weigh your foods or just guess?
  • Lot and log consistently. I did the same as you. Finally got under 100kg and hit a block. I've ended up putting 12kg back on (dropped 2kg since I started logging again) It's so easy to tell yourself that you're doing everything right but if you're not logging you don't know. I kept crying I was putting weight on despite…
  • Sad thing is, of a choice review of online programs she was the best ones! How sad is that?
  • SureSlim as in the one that does the blood test? If yes, then not sure how you can be given it by someone else as 'apparently' they pick the foods best for you based on your blood test. But yes I did it. Total crock of ****. One, both my consultants at my local store were overweight. So clearly didn't work for them (and…
  • Add me! From Perth.
  • Probably to the above. But programs like this are there to make money. The individual people care about you but as a company it's about the moonlah. I lost 40kg on JC and think its a good start for people BUT if you want to do anything different they don't want to know you. One centre the manager wouldn't allow me…
  • As the others have said you need to go to your doctor before doing ANY more exercise. Resting heart rate at 110 is a big concern and not able to get air after exercise is another.
  • Thanks everyone! I have three non softball days. I usually do a long walk on two of these days. I understand one day a week won't be as effective but it's better than nothing right? I'll also be keeping one day a week rest.
