1 slice of Bacon Veggie Frittata ... 309 calories; Mixed vegetable fritatta (1 cup) 188 calories plus a piece of fruit. 3 oz grilled hamburg ... 218 calories ... maybe some light vegetables and fruit for that last 100+ calories... I only can eat 1200 calories a day to lose weight so all I need is a too big breakfast or…

Okay I'm not sure this is a closed discussion or not, but I'm going to write anyway! My first AHA moment was in 2011 ... I had played the yoyo game for years. Tried every diet out there, lost weight and then gained it back plus. My highest weight had been over 240 ... much to high for my frame of 5'4" (I thought ... recent…

Great post; absolutely reinforced what I thought was right and wrong! Thanks!

All of the above advice is great! When I have a bad day, I start out the next morning with a Huge glass of water most of which goes down even before breakfast and then keep going. I love the idea of brushing your teeth and moving on. Remember, take it a day at a time and just keep going ... I have been working toward my…

Ice Cream!!! Gooey cake and frosting ... Pecan Sandies ... I work at a balanced diet, moderation, portion control ... I don't deny myself but limit and substitute ...

I do ... it is hard, but I only have a 440 cal deficit so eating more will only maintain ... I am not a great exercise person although I do walk some ... feeling good, down 43 lbs over 8 months. It is all about portion control and I eat lots of little meals through the day ... oatmeal and coffee and a little milk for…

A protein shake; saving my calories for Manny's Original Chophouse tonight!

By the way, my husband has yoyoed as well ... he has also lost 40 lbs using MFP! AND for the first time in MANY years, at 5"3.5" to his 5"11", I weigh LESS than he does!! Yipppeee!

It is such a hard thing to do ... many many years ago I remember I "celebrated" my Weight Watcher's goal weight with McDonald's ... it was a slippery slope from there and I have Yo Yoed since then always ending up higher than I was before ... I totally agree with what was said above ... forget the word "diet" and "can't…

Eating out is definitely very hard! Last week I had a double eat out day and knew I had blown my calorie line out of the water! To my amazement, next weigh-in I had lost 1.2 lbs after being stuck for awhile! That said, right back on track the next day; definitely not making it a habit!

What are "egoscue exercises" ????

Yoga might definitely be worth a try ... assuming I don't fall on my nose

Great visual!

Good for you! Fantastic weight loss! Keep it going!

I generally check MFP first. I have an itouch and added the app restaurant.com ... it is a weight watcher app but it lists calories as well as points. It doesn't list ALL restaurants but a lot of the major chains. I try to check it before we go out to eat. If it is not in that app, then I try to check the restaurant site…

I would NOT classify you as sedentary!!! Lightly active maybe, but def not sedentary!

Absoutely ... I tried cutting carbs back a few years ago ... I lost about 40 pounds but then fell off the "no carb" wagon and slowly regained 20 pounds. Now I eat what I want and track it ... in 6 months I have lost the 20 plus another 14 without feeling like I am deprived or "on a diet" ... 20-25 lbs more to go! I feel…

Every Day ... like others have said ... keeps me focused! I know I will see UPS from day to day and DOWNS on other days ... as long as I see over time a decline I am okay with that.

Casual Temporary at ESPN WWS Food & Beverage ... love the Disney perks and LOTS of walking

Several years ago I lost quite a bit of weight using Slimfast ... unfortunately, like so many others I regained the weight back, plus ... Since August I have not been "DIETING", but rather using MFP and eating healthy BUT having a small portion of something I really love and not beating myself up for it. I do have some…

224 ... at 5'3 1/2" that's way too high ... I lost 42 lbs, but then regained 20 lbs; I started on MFP in August 2011 and I am now down just shy of 30 lbs ... BMI is at 30.4 ... still at the obese level, but just .5 from being Overweight ... I am half way home to Normal Weight!

good for you and your wife! Way to go! My husband and I are both working together and using MFP ... you are an inspiration to two old birds!
-
You are beautiful ... and better yet, it sounds to me like you are beautiful and fit both inside and out! Congratulations on your amazing achievements~

Good for you! You look amazing ... definitely takes a lot of courage to post those "before" pictures!!! Great inspiration though to keep it going and to maintain!!!

Thanks for that questions of what is NSV .... I know it will be probably a "duh, should have thought of that answer", but I haven't got a clue!
