Toning for Seniors?

Since late August 2011 I have lost 42 lbs ... I have about 20 to go. I really would like to tone up, but at my age, to quote another post ... "*kitten* to the GRASS" squats just aren't happening! Are there any 65 plussers out there who have lost weight and been able to tone up as well ? I know skin loses as elasticity as we age and wonder what might help?

You don't have to go deep (in squats, as an example), to get the benefits. Have you considered doing something like yoga or pilates? That might help.0

Yoga might definitely be worth a try ... assuming I don't fall on my nose0

I would definitely suggest you and egoscue exercises!0

Beachbody has a new home workout program called Tai Cheng. That could be an easy way to get back into shape and it's definitely meant to be senior friendly. Beyond that, I agree with Spanaval. I haven't done pilates, but I've been doing yoga workouts about once a week for about a year and I think it would be very beneficial.0
