MFP and Fitbit steps
I understand the whole calorie adjustment and the basics for logging exercise. Ive been wearing a fitbit for 3 days now (not doing anything different than when I was not wearing it) and its adjusting my calories like its supposed to (300 or 400 here or there) however its giving me an abundance amount of extra calories to…

No weight loss since June 20th
I've lost 51 lbs since Jan. Consistently 1.5 a week. I have run into a plateau. No weight loss in 3 weeks. I am NOT eating at maintenance. Mine is around 1800 calories and I am eating just at or under my 1500. Normal? Will I expect a big swoosh or Do I need to change things up? Open diary.

Hangry sometimes
So theres soooo many BMR and TDEE calculators out there. I am a 5'5'', 30 year old female who currently weighs 200 lbs. According to the average of these multiple calculators, my BMR is 1685. My TDEE is 2316. I have MFP set to lose 1.5 a week. I am currently consistantly in the 2lbs range at 1500 cal goal. Would I still be…

Happy Mothers Day
Happy mothers day to all the moms.Enjoy your day. Loosen the reins for today. If your kiddo gives you a double chocolate brownie their little hands made, eat it. One day is not going to ruin you. Log it (or dont) and move on. Enjoy these little moments with your family.

Sedentary or lightly active
I have both my fitbit and mfp set for sedentary. I make an effort to get AT LEAST 8k steps 5 days a week. Consistently losing 1.5 lbs a week as set by mfp. Been at this for over 3 months Today I did 13k steps (kid sport night) so gained 800 in "exercise". Is it time to switch to lightly active or one of those "don't fix…

Struggling to hit protein
I've been at mfp for over 3 months. 35/35/30 are my macros. I really struggle with hitting protein. My carbs are usually closer to 40%. Breakfast: coffee with 1 milk 1 sugar and a 35 calorie yogurt Lunch usually panera bread sandwich with soup or salad or a pita with turkey and veggies Dinner depends but always consists of…

Steps and adjustments
So I've been using my fitbit for about 2 months. I have both set to sedentary. I aim for 8k steps per day and mfp gives me about 400 exercise calories. I only eat exercise calories if I'm starving. I'm confused as to why I have such a high adjustment. Does this mean the 400 calories burned over maintenance?

Fajita wrap calories
Chicken fajita with bell peppers and onions, Tex Mex cheese. How many calories do you think? I did around 200 for the wrap. 140 for chicken. Another 110 for cheese and 30 for veggies. Another 40 for oil. Sound close?

Help please.
So I've been making sure I get at least 20 mins of walking in a day. Breakfast is usually a coffee. I'm not much of a breakfast person. Lunch is around 300-450 cals Dinner is usually 500-700 depending on what we are having. I'm on 1500 calories. So today after my lunch and dinner and my walk I still have 800 calories left.…

Pastaaaa
So I decided to do an experiment and cook myself a portion of spaghetti and see how much it weighs cooked. I weighed out my 85g as per the box. Cooked it up. Weighed the cooked pasta and it was 240g. Is that right?! I'm sure the box weight is for dry pasta yes? It doesn't say the serving size cooked. It says 1/5 of box…

Logging ice cream!
So in Canada our ice cream nutrition labels are in mL. I have some ice cream (it's actually frozen yogurt) that is 130 calories a serving. Serving is 125ml or 1/2 cup. My scale does allow me to measure in ml but my ice cream is not a liquid so I just measured it in grams or ounces. I gave myself 4.2 oz. When I went to log…

Will I always need a scale?
I am meticulously weighing everything for the last 65 days. When did you stop weighing your foods? I really hope I will not need to weigh everything forever...that doesn't seem like a realistic lifestyle change. I can't picture myself at 70 busting out the scale for my 5 almonds lol When did you become confident enough in…

Slow cooker question
So I know how to put a recipe in the builder for my slow cooker meals. My question is: I am making a beef stew. I weighed it out to 1 serving=1 gram. There will be 2 of us eating it. I know not every bowl will be equal. My question is how would the calories be accurate if my first bowl is mostly beef and the second is…

Losing more
So I have mfp set to 1.5 lbs but I am losing consistently 3 lbs a week. I always leave at least 400 calories at the end of the day and eat back 50% exercise IF I'm hungry.. i weight solids with a scale and liquids in cups and always over estimate calories when eating out. Am I not eating enough? Diary is open for any…

Restaurant nutrition guides
Reposted in right forum. Headed to a chain restaurant here. I checked the nutrition guide and prelogged entries. It states that sides are obviously not included in nutrition but I'm confused if the bun and onions and mushrooms are. It's a steak sandwich on an open face ciabatta with mushrooms, red peppers and onions. Says…

17 lbs in 5 weeks
I am so excited at this mini victory! Basically consistently losing 3 lbs a week. I know this will eventually decrease as I get closer to my goal. Sw 245 cw 228 gw 170. I am hoping to reach my goal weight by September. How realistic is this? Is it possible to lose 17 lbs every 5 weeks consecutively? That would put me at my…

Laughing cow cheese
So I just discovered this awesome product and thought Yay an alternative to my cheese obsession....but it's a processed cheese product so how is it better than yummy fatty cheese other than calories?

Comfort food!
I am so excited that I can still fit my comfort foods into my calories. A lighter version of mac and cheese for 265 calories a serving. 3 mini italian style meatloaves...a chunk of mozzarella in there. 365 calories for a serving of 3. With the veggies this logged in at close to 700 calories but damn it felt good to be able…

Accurate entries
I weigh everything solid in grams as much as I can when logging and liquid in cups or tablespoons. If I use the entries with the green check is that an accurate entry? I am losing. 15 lbs in 4 weeks so I'd say I'm pretty accurate. I use the green checks as much as I can.

Net calories
So I was just looking around the app. I checked my net calories for the week and it says I am under by 6648. I assume that's bad? I log my exercise and eat back 50% if I need to (I'm usually pretty good at making my main 3 meals filling that I don't snack much). I weigh everything and always leave at least 100 to 150…

What to set activity level as
I current have mfp set as sedentary. I only go to my bootcamp 3x a week and it's 90% weight training. On those days I get close to my 10k steps but the other 4 days it's barely 3k. I will be starting school. In September but again not much walking. Currently laid off. Was thinking of adding 2x cardio during the week.

Weight in: clothes or naked?
So it's weigh in day tomorrow. I just hopped on the scale this morning with underwear and sports bra on as I always do. Then just now I decided to hop on after my shower. I was down 2 lbs. Do clothes really make that much of a difference? I guess I update my weight now cause naked can't lie lol

Q about recipe builder
So I played around with it to test how it works. My sample is a sheppards pie. I added all the ingredients. However 1. Idk how many it's supposed to serve and 2. How large the serving size is I pretended it was to serve 6 ppl. It gave me the cals per serving but did not say the serving size. Can someone explain to me how I…

Q about calories at restaurants
So if I am at subway as example, I see two calories next to the type of sandwich clearly for 6" and 12". Is that the calories for the meat and bread or just meat?

Ideal routine
I understand that exercise is not necessary for weight-loss however I am trying to lose 70 lbs eventually so I have been sticking to my 1500 cals a day and doing 2 weight bootcamp (weightlifting with a small amount of core) and 1 kettlebell ( small amount of cardio) a week. Should I incorporate a trip to the gym for the…
