I understand that exercise is not necessary for weight-loss however I am trying to lose 70 lbs eventually so I have been sticking to my 1500 cals a day and doing 2 weight bootcamp (weightlifting with a small amount of core) and 1 kettlebell ( small amount of cardio) a week. Should I incorporate a trip to the gym for the other two days for some cardio ? Or is that enough to start (only on day 20) to help build some muscle and no losey goosey skin lol

How long you been doing those exercises for? How much have you lost? From the first day to your 20th day?

I think what you've got is enough to get a decent start on weight loss, but it depends. Do you like exercise? Do you want to increase your cardiovascular fitness, strength, both?

If you just want to focus on weight loss but don't really enjoy exercise, stick with what you've got, and maybe add in some walks throughout the rest of the week. I started walking 3-5 miles/day about a year ago (I didn't want to pay for a parking pass where I work anymore, and I'm fortunate to live within a 20 minute walk of where I work), and all else being equal, dropped about 10 lbs. But more than that, I think there are huge mental benefits to spending some time in the fresh air with just yourself - very calming and refreshing, and it doesn't wear you down like an intense workout or long-term calorie deficits.

So anyway I'd say walk, ask yourself what your fitness goals are, and just keep plugging away at what you're doing because it sounds like a great start so far.

Stick with your current plan for 1-2 months. Add in walking, uphill if you can, and increase that distance and speed. After a couple months, reevaluate and see what you're ready to add it. Read all the threads about people overdoing it too soon to understand why. Just pace yourself and you will be more successful in the long run. Sounds like you're off to a great start!
