Losing more

So I have mfp set to 1.5 lbs but I am losing consistently 3 lbs a week. I always leave at least 400 calories at the end of the day and eat back 50% exercise IF I'm hungry.. i weight solids with a scale and liquids in cups and always over estimate calories when eating out. Am I not eating enough? Diary is open for any feedback. I'm not complaining about the 3 lbs a week loss lol just curious.

Barring initial weight loss, it would mean that you have roughly a 1,500 calorie deficit from theoretical maintenance...so you could eat more.0

What is your current height, weight, and calorie goal? If I'm understanding correctly, you always eat 400 calories less than your goal, plus you don't always eat back exercise calories either (meaning you could potentially have 600 + calories remaining each day?), or am I misreading that?0

That is correct. 1500 calories a day but usually only net 800 to 900 simply because I am just not hungry (and scared of overeating). Sometimes it's as low as 200 left but the net is 80% under 1200 calories.0 -
You aren't eating enough. looking at your diary your totals are usually 900-1300. You're losing 3lbs a week which means you could likely eat 2000-2500 calories, or more, and maintain your weight, depending on activity.0

If you've been losing 3 pounds per week for more than the first few weeks, you are indeed under-eating, which will catch up with you sooner or later. For example, hair loss from under-eating takes a few months to manifest.
MFP uses the NEAT method, and as such this system is designed for exercise calories to be eaten back. However, many consider the burns given by MFP to be inflated and only eat a percentage, such as 50%, back.
My FitBit One is far less generous with calories than the MFP database and I comfortably eat 100% of the calories I earn from it back.

MFP has your deficit included in the 1500 already. You are not supposed to eat under it but at it to lose 1.5.
