Fitbit - exercise calories?
Hi, I've had a Fitbit Zip for a few weeks now and I'm enjoying it but I've only just started syncing my MFP diary and exercise. I can't work out why the exercise burn is loads higher than it should be. I've entered 100 calories of exercise today on MFP but FitBit have entered it as 411. I can't work it out? Any ideas?

I'm back, I've gained weight, my jeans are so tight! I'm still wearing them but can't wait to get them off. I refuse to go back and buy a bigger size. I'm not exercising at the moment. It all just got too hard and took too long. . I manged to lose 28 kilos originally but not sure where I am now. I would love some extra…

Fitbit One - did you get good results?
I'm thinking of buying a Fitbit One but wondering if others have found it useful. I thought it would be interesting to see what my sleeping habits are really like with the sleep option but wondered if anyone was able to use that information to actually improve things. If you did, how did you do it? I had been using a cheap…

Weekend disasters .... help needed
Since not long after easter I seem to have developed the habit of overeating on weekends, random logging & gaining weight. I then have to spend the next few days trying to lose it before I can get back to losing by Friday's weigh in. Sometimes it's up to 1.5 kilos, sometimes only .2 or .3. I read I'm not alone in this,…

Long term losers.. how did you keep motivated?
Hi, The topic says it all. I've been losing for 12 months now and only a third of the way there. I've averaged about 0.4kilos a week( 0.8 pound). I have lost 21.5 kilos but over the last few months I have been really struggling to keep motivated and focused. I feel better, look better and am much healthier and over some…

BMR- how correct is it really?
I was just wondering how correct the BMR is on MFP or anywhere for that matter. I'm starting to think I have had a slow meatabolic rate so wouldn't that make a difference to my BMR? After a very long plateau I have now started to lose again but am eating way under my BMR. This reallt makes me wonder how accurate it really…

'Rolled out ' feet . Shoe suggestions, please
I've never had a great pair of runners, it wasn't really necessary with my very low level of exercises but now I feel I need to purchase some half decent ones. I've had trouble with aching feet , sore knees and pain across the top etc so went to one of those places where you get your feet checked by standing on the pads.…

7 week Plateau is finally over.. but for what reason?
I am ecstatic that after 7 weeks the scales have finally moved last week. What puzzles me is why. I do tend to over analyse but I never want to go through that again. It was so hard to keep focused. I had 3 weeks weighing in at 110kg then 5 weeks weighing in at 109.8kg. The next weigh, last Friday I was 108.1. I have gone…

Easy, fast but nutritious Lunches
okay, need help with this. As I said in my other post I'm struggling with a plateau, a very long one. I need to change a lot of my eating habits. Eating in my calorie range isn't enough it seems. Before MFP I never thought too much about lunch, it's always been reheated leftovers , or a really quick sandwich. Sometimes…

Culled the friend list, now I feel bad.
The night before last I decided to cull my friend list. I haven't done it before ,it was time but now I feel so bad for the ones I deleted. It feels kind of like I have gone up to someone and said to them to their face that I don't want to be your friend anymore. Not nice. I've been finding my list too long for how I like…

I need to have the guy instructing me so I'll continue to use it till I get something else but does anyone know of a golden oldie type or 70's type music I can get in a podcast for the c25k? Anything but techno or hip hop or rap. Help. Would be…

Bit early but putting it up there anyway.
I was planning on putting up progress photos when I got to the quarter way mark but I have been plateauing for 3 weeks or more now and decided to do it anyway for the hopeful incentive. I'm 1.3 kilos away from my quarter mark. Hopefully you can see some difference, I know my clothes are getting bigger. The ones in the…

BMR - what is it I'm not understanding?
MFP has my BMR at 1688. I understand from what I've read this means I need at least this to function. I've read that if I was in a coma this is the minimum I need. The bit I don't get is why then am I given less than that by MFP to lose weight. I seem to be missing something in the maths. Maintenance is 2110 to lose 1 lb a…

Have you lost a lot of weight even though you don't eat clea
I am 54 yrs old & in all I've lost 14.6 ( 32lbs ) kilos since mid August 2011. Right from the first week it has been in dribs and drabs, my doc is happy about that even if I'm not. She thinks the slower the better. I get anxious, I want it off. My question comes from the fact that as of this morning I am only .6 down from…

Weighing in on the Wii Fit Board
I have been weighing myself on the Wii Fit Board for a month or so now after my bathroom scales broke. I'm getting really frustrated with it. I wonder how accurate it is as it seems to fluctuate so much. This morning I weighed myself again to test it , straight after first time. I weighed less by .2 the second time. I'd…

fitness improvement NSV
Hi, on the weekend we went for a walk with some friends. We went to a local beach/ playground area. After walking down a steep incline and a load of steps we went for a walk around the promenade etc but then we had to walk back up those steps, then up the incline to get back to the car. I went up those steps without…

Aussie Girls. Nice Jeans
Just though I'd let you know that Big W have jeans from size 18 - 26 for $12 at the moment. They are really nice mid rise, boot leg. Great motivator if you want a inexpensive pair smaller than you are or you might get a nice surprise and fit in a size smaller than you thought. Sorry girls if you are already under size 18,…

Wii Fit IS exercise.
Hi, I've noticed occasionally on the message boards , blogs etc some ppl ridiculing the Wii Fit as exercise or a work out. Seriously, if I'm not exercising then I'm not sure what you'd call it. I couldn't hardly walk to the letter box 6 months ago and when I first got my Wii Fit Plus 85 days ago 10 min of really basic…

Wii Fit Plus burn versus HRM burn
Hi, just wondering if any one has been using a hrm while on the fit plus. How did you find the comparison because I am wondering if the Wii over estimates the calories burned. I would imagine the HRM is the most reliable. I'm thinking I might not eat all my Wii calories just in case so looking for some info until I can get…

for Aussies- Bread?
Hi all you Aussies. I'm just wondering what bread/s & wraps you all use & their calorie count per slice. I've been trying a few different types but find some have a huge calorie count. I use sourdough from woollies a lot for the low GI ( dietitian recommended) but it's hard to get a correct calorie count on it. I shop…
