I never took measurements before, but I'm finally going to start keeping track starting tomorrow morning. I wasn't sure exactly where to measure, and I found this website to be helpful: http://www.weight-loss-program.com/art13-taking-measurements.html What Exactly Should You Measure? Reebok Runtones
Say what you will about them being a gimmick, and I don't know yet if they are or not. But what I do know is they just might be the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet. They're like walking on pillows! If they do what they say they're supposed to do, great. If not, I don't care because they're so…

Need help with sweet potato fries
I have a question that I hope someone can answer. When I make sweet potato fries, they don't come out crunchy. I usually slice them up, toss them in olive oil and a bit of spices...but when I cook them in the over (on 450) for about 20-30 minutes, they are still soft. I can't cook them more because they'll burn. Should I…

How hard is it to rollerblade?
I'm thinking of shopping around for a pair, but I'm hesitant. I can roller skate pretty well, but how different is it from rollerblading? There's a cul-de-sac the next block over, so I'll have a pretty good sized place to practice in until I get comfortable.

Breaking news, an important discovery has been made
I. HAVE. COLLARBONES! Yes, it's true. The elusive collarbone...they've been in hiding for years. For so long, some didn't believe they existed. However, they have slowly but surely been revealing themselves. Let's all rejoice in the glory that is the collarbone! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

My ring is too big...
...like "slipping off my finger" big. Where can I find those rubber ring guard things? Does somewhere like Target have them, or do I need to go to a jewelry store?

Bodyrock Website
Does anyone use the Bodyrock.tv website? My friend uses it for her home workouts, and LOVES it. It's a super intense 20 minute workout that (I think) is updated daily. I'm not one to work out at home, but this site looks pretty cool! http://www.bodyrock.tv/

I wish I had my own private gym.
I live in an apartment so building a gym isn't a solution. I think there should be a gym within a gym...like apartments. You rent your own little gym that's got it's own locker room, one treadmill, one elliptical, one stairmaster, one set of weights and benches. One of everything that a regular gym has. And only you and…

Noise canceling headphones
Does anyone know of any good noise canceling headphones that aren't super expensive? I can't stand to hear the women at my gym talk talk talk like a group of hens the whole time I'm there. It drives me crazy. If you can hold a conversation then you're not working out hard enough. I listen to music but can still hear them…

Quinoa
Does anyone know how to cook quinoa in a slow-cooker? I'm not looking for a whole recipe with other things added, like chicken or tofu or something. Just some plain ol' quinoa to use as a side dish.

When cooking with herbs...
...and a recipe calls for a cup of basil, would that be a cup of stuffed, packed in the cup basil? Or just loose basil, which I'm imagining wouldn't be very much. The recipe is for pesto. Might be a silly question, but you can't learn until you ask, right?

Can someone help me with this recipe?
1 lb ground turkey 1 onion chopped 1 green pepper chopped 1.5 tsp salt 1 tbsp chili powder 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 29 oz can tomato sauce 3 16 oz cans kidney beans 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes 6 oz can tomato paste Feel free to substitute fresh cut tomatoes for the stewed tomatoes as that would have less salt. For those with Netflix and an iPhone
I just found out that you can watch Netflix movies on my iPhone. Know what I watched today? Killer At Large, a documentary on obesity. It was pretty awesome. If watching that while on the elliptical doesn't motivate you to stay on there longer, I don't know what will! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903660/

What are some foods...
...that other people love and have a weakness for but you yourself have no interest in? Someone mentioned egg nog yesterday. I don't know why, but I think it's nasty! Even when you spike it, it's just something I'd never have interest in. Another thing is "fake fruity" candy...like Jolly Ranchers or lollipops. No…

Fpr the first time in my life...
...I didn't have to lie about my weight on my drivers license! I had to get a new one from my current state, and when I was filling out my form, I was almost giddy when I put in my weight! What would you do with a $100 bonus?
I'm getting a $100 bonus at work, and I'm wondering what to do with it. Should I pay a bill? Probably. Get myself a very much needed pair of sneakers? Save it for something bigger that I want (a bicycle)? Save it for when I think I may be going out of town for a week in January? What would you do with it if you got $100…

Cooked vs. pre-cooked weight
Which do I use? For instance, I just made sweet potato chips. Before cooking, they came out to 130 grams. After cooking, they came out to 57 grams.

Hit an awesome milestone today!
I put on a pair of fun and sexy zip up knee high boots for the first time IN MY LIFE! I almost cried right in the store! :drinker: :drinker: I don't know what to equate that to so guys can relate, but that's a big thing! I didn't have to huff and puff and try to somehow suck my calves in!

People just don't get it
I was talking to a friend tonight and I was saying "I'd love to go out to eat and have someone wait on ME for once" (we're waitresses  ) and she suggested we go out to eat somewhere. It stresses me out to go out to eat. I get too crazy in the head and think that I'm undoing all the hard work I've done. And she said…

What to get kids for Christmas?
If you were a 4, 7, 10 or 13 year old girl or a 8 year old boy, what would you want for Christmas? Or, if you have kids those ages, what will you be getting them? I need to get gifts for my neices and nephew, but have no idea what to get them. I know what store gift certificates they'd want if I was to go that route, but…

Does anyone else do this?
When company comes over, you have to "de-weight-loss-itize" your house or apartment? I live alone, so I have pictures that stuck on the fridge that no one else should see (about 70 lbs heavier!), "you can do it" quotes stuck up all over the place, a reminder list (that I add to as needed) as to why I'm doing this, things…

Question about why we do what we do.
Recently, I've been thinking about the reasons why people overeat. Any time you see a show on TV, like Biggest Loser or Intervention, there was always some type of trauma that triggered their behavior. Being molested as a child, a victim of violence, some sort of trauma. I was wondering if there are times when that isn't…
