It's a very good substitute, yes! I think I'd like it more if it was saltier, but I know that's just because I'm not used to itand my taste buds will adjust. It's really good. Much better than Better'n Peanut Butter. And there's nothign weird in it!

Toots posted the link in her OP. There's a store locator on the site, otherwise you could order it online.

I ordered a bunch -- both the regular and the PB2 with chocolate -- to make the extremely high shipping charges more worth it. What are some of the ways you use it (besides mixing & using like pb on toast or in sandwiches)?

So far I've only tried it in PB&J sammiches. But there's over 250 recipes on their website! http://www.bellplantation.com/recipes

I actually think the pb is TOO salty. And too sweet... I have both chocolate and regular. I got mine from a local health food store. Regular grocery stores don't carry it. On their website they have a store locator which is where I found my nearest location (and the only one within 50 miles actually, hah.)

It was 100% love at first bite with PB2 and me. I love it as a quick and easy topping on a vitatop (or other muffin top), for sandwiches, make it with slightly more water (that's hot) and use it as a dessert topping, it's great with apples, I put small dollops of a single serving on my roasted plantain chips, I've made granola bars with it, and I plan on making a peanut butter marshamallow mix soon for an Elvis Whoopie Pie recipe I'm working on.

It's a PB lovers dream come true. I was actually raised with my parents always buying natural peanut butters, (I can still remember the whole mixing process my dad would go through with each new jar to re-incorporate the oils) so brands like Jif never tasted quite right to me. I would buy them because they were cheap and easy, but PB2 makes me so happy. Low calorie, low fat, great taste, and no funky ingredients of any kind.

Plus, since it's powdered and you have to mix up each serving size there's no risk of just sitting there and eating a bunch out of the jar or over estimating what you're using as a serving size.

I know that HyVee carries it...I need to swing by and get some. I LOVE adding PB to my protein shakes for breakfast, but I don't like the extra calories/fat.

Thanks for posting the link. The nearest store that sells it is almost 50 miles away, and I live in a big city. Weird. Time to order some
