Don't Forget to Turn On Your Group Notifications
I am not sure how to do this on the app at the moment, but on the website for discussions you can turn on notifications when there are new posts in a group you are part of. When in the Community section click on your avatar icon in the top right corner. That will pull up a drop down menu. Select "Account and Privacy…

Ketoversary
April 22nd was my 1 year anniversary of eating Keto. At this point I have made some remarkable progress. My HbA1C got to normal in a matter of months. My blood pressure dropped so much that I have come off all but one of my meds, and likely I could come off that one as well. My weight is down almost 90 pounds with my goal…

Homemade Pork Rinds
I am trying my hand at making homemade pork rinds. I picked up some pig skin at an Asian Market labeled rather dubiously as "Meat". It was actually pig skin, so step one was achieved. It had a lot more fat and meat on it than I expected, so step two was removing as much as I could. My technique improved greatly as I worked…

Pizza Day NSV
Tradition at the Feed Mill I work at is to order in pizza for all the workers before Christmas. Usually that is the last working day so usually the 24th, or this year the 22nd since we are closed over the weekend. Since I booked the 22nd off, they decided to get the pizza today. I was originally just going to skip it, but…

Keto Egg Roll in a Bowl
I had a 1 pound package of coleslaw mix that I needed to use, and the left overs from a 9 pound pork picnic (shoulder) roast. I decided to rework the Egg Roll in a Bowl recipe using the cooked picnic roast. It turned out amazing. Once of the things I enjoy about Keto is that once I got the hang of how to make recipes low…

What is your biggest Keto NSV?
I can start. My biggest one is an amazing drop in my blood pressure. I was on 3 blood pressure medications and my blood pressure would generally be in the mid-120s over something between 85-95. Now after 2 months of keto I am on one medication, and at times my blood pressure flirts with numbers that a technically low blood…

Ability to manually enter steps
Since many of the health trackers I have used do not sync with MyFitnessPal at all, and don't sync well with Google Fit it would be nice if I could manually add my steps for the day like I can manually add my exercises.

PowerPod Powermeter
Is anyone familiar with the PowerPod powermeter? I can't see it being very useful indoors on the trainer if I understand how it works properly, but for outdoor riding it might be an option. I am shopping around for a powermeter for my bike, and this came up as I was searching.

Do People not Understand what Debate Means?
I have seen repeated posts in the debate forums that are not topics for debate, they are questions about weight-loss of lack of it, exercise, and diet, that is, how to and why questions, not what do you think about this topic of debate. That leads to the question in the title, "Do people not understand the meaning of the…

Training for a Century
I have been playing with the idea of cycling 100 miles on my 50th birthday in mid-July. My off season indoor training was not as extensive as I would have liked, but my endurance, now that the weather is more conducive to cycling outdoors, is improving fairly rapidly. I have basically 12 weeks to get ready, so does anyone…

Trainers for the Colder Weather
While I have an exercise bike, I don't find it is the same in any way as sitting on a real bike. Not to mention how tender my behind gets after a whole winter of not riding on a real saddle. With this in mind I have decided I would like to get a trainer, but I really have no idea what I should get. Money is an issue, so I…

What is the max protein absorbed from one meal?
This was the question of this http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/533217-excess-protein But I thought that people would assume it was one of the huge number of people who keep asking if it is bad to be over their protein allowance, so I reposted with this title. So what is the maximum amount of protein that can be…

Link to MFP
I have Endo linked and in the past information from my workouts has transferred over, but today it isn't anyone else have that problem?

Challenges
I am part of a few Endo challenges. The one started yesterday, yet a member has over 12000 calories burned. Now, I guess I can see that as a possibility, but in less than two days burning that many calories. Come one, that is crazy. Edit: I went and looked at his profile. Sure enough he is a cyclist, and one who is really…

Chocolatey Strawberry Fluff
200g Frozen Strawberries 41g Kaizen Decadent Chocolate Whey Protein Powder .25 Cup Water 2 Tbl Cocoa 1 Tbl Splenda .25 tsp or so of Instant Decafe Coffee I don't have the macros on this, but it was good. If I had Stevia I would have used that, but Splenda was what was around. 38g Protein.

Endomondo
Who else here is using Endomondo? I switched to it from Mapmyride when it integrated with MFP. I am slowly building up a friend list there, and have to say I am enjoying it. I am happy there is an Endomondo group here, but the number of users is not that big yet.

Anyone Else Do Turbulence Training
I have had Turbulence Training workouts for a while, but only started using them in the last week. I have to say if you want something challenging that works they are great. So does anyone else use any of them.

Maple Protein Fluff
Tried this out tonight. It tasted good, but I need to find a better way to crush ice as I was shooting chunks of ice around and crunching through them when eating the fluff. 40 grams of unflavoured 80% Whey Protein 3 Tbls of Maple Syrup Probably 1.5 Cups of Crushed Ice .5 tsp Xanthan Gum As I said it fluffed, but the ice…

Going to try a NY style cheesecake today
Today I am going to try to make a NY style cheesecake. At the moment I have most of the ingredients warming to room temp on the counter. I'm not sure what I will flavour it as. The chocolate one looks interesting. I guess I will wing it as I go. I hope it turns out. Recipe: Kraft Canada - Philadelphia Low Fat - 95%…

Xanthan Gum
I went to look and see if I could find this in the town I live in. Not many options as to where to look as we have two grocery stores, but no bulk food stores or speciality stores that might carry it. Sure enough, no success. Where do others find it? I will have a look in London ON when I get there later this week, but I…

Crushed Ice
I tried a protein fluff with crushed ice instead of semi-frozen fruit last night. It fluffed, but not as well as I get with the fruit. I was thinking maybe by using my blender to crush the ice I got the pieces too small so they melted to quick making things runnier rather than fluffier. So how do others crush their ice?

This Is Sooo Wrong
I don't know if anyone posted this already, but I just read about Susanne Eman's bid to become the world's fattest woman. I can't imagine why someone would do this to their body. I have to say, looking at the pictures reminded me why I want to lose the fat and stay healthy. Right now she have not obesity related illness,…
