Losing weight even though not eating exercise calories
The reasons for eating back your exercise calories make sense to me, but I often don't eat back my exercise calories and am doing quite well at losing weight. Is it just because I have so much to lose now and as I reach lower weights then it will become more critical?

Is a little bit of sucralose ok?
The only thing I eat or drink now that has artificial sweetener is my coffee creamer. In fact, the only things I drink now are two cups of coffee in the morning with sugar free coffee mate (which contians sucralose) and water the rest of the day. Is that little amount ok?

Feeling more satisfied after meals
I recently started paying attention to my nutrition targets (especially sugar and sodium) and, and the advice of my dr, began taking a multi-vitamin and calcium supplement. Also, increased the amount of water I drink. I don't know if it is related, but now after I eat even a small snack I feel much more satisfied, and…

Resistance tube/band strength training
I have been using tubes in place of the flimsy band that ships with EA Active Sports, but I feel like EA Active Sports doesn't make full use of the tubes. So I am looking to start a more traditional strength training program using the bands while I continue to use my recumbent bike and treadmill for cardio and augment with…

Shop along the walls
While at the grocery store recently, I realized that with all of the changes we have made recently, we buy almost everything we eat now along the walls of the grocery store - produce, meat, dairy. This led me to realize that most of the processed foods are packed in the center of the store on the shelves. So.... gravitate…

Nutrient targets
I have been watching my nutrient targets much closer and working to hit, or improve upon my targets. I talked with my doctor who said that on a restricted calorie diet, it can be hard to get all of the vitamins and minerals needed. He recommended a muti-vitamin and a calcium supplement. I have seen that people choose…

Reading and responding to several posts have led me to the thought that there are three parts to why I am here on MFP: Weight loss - it's' all about calories. The Wimpy approach
Another recent post on MFP made me think of this - remember Wimpy from Popeye? "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." That is soooo true. You do pay on Tuesday for a hamburger today. And each week, you run out of another "next Tuesday" to fix it. So stick with it!
