I Started Training for my first full marathon

Chicago Full- October 2013- Who wants to run?
October is going to be 26.2 miles of fun. I am signed up and ready to rock this race as my first full marathon. I'm ready. (3 Half Marathon in 2012) and this is one of 3 races i will be doing in 2013 Who wants come take the challenge? I'm fired up and nervous all at the same time. :) :)

Annual Thanksgiving Run- NSV
I like to run now. Have since i started on MFP back in April of 2011. I actually hit my weight goal last year on Thanksgiving and i started a new tradition. A 6 mile run on Turkey Day. i'm getting faster:) I may not be at my target weight, but i'm in the best shape of my life. :)

Today was a good day... of running:)
So had my latest race today, a 15K road race. i set records and set some personal bests and i'm getting faster, I missed my overall time goal but i finished and then i check my runkeeper account and saw the hard work paying off. This is why you keep stats. I want to push myself harder. It's a happy NSV kinda day.

I've burned 92,803 Calories!
So i just checked with the Runkeeper app and since i started running in May of 2011, I have done this: I went from fat dude who couldn't run a block to running 766 miles in 14 months. Very cool. If i can do it, so can you!

Been a great day!

Nearly 30 days after i hit my goal....
So i checked today, It's been nearly 30 days since i hit my goal, (I hit goal on 11/24) and i have not gained any of the weight i have lost back. WIN! Keep working the plan before and after and you will hit your goal and maintain after you hit it!!!!!

Race Costs
I love to race. Only issue i have with it is how much they charge. $37 dollars for a 10K if you sign up early. BLAH. That's just to much. I don't need another tshirt. Ok done now.

Amazing what excites me as i get older. lol
I went to Costco today and picked up my favorite breakfast:) Only 100 Calories for 1 serving. (2 servings and 1/2 cup of skim milk for only 250 Calories FOR THE WIN! Plus the milk turns to chocolate milk so its like a super bonus without the extra calories.)

Just finished my 3rd 5K. I feel healthy and i love it!

6 Months down, and i can run fast and inspire my family!
So i ran my Second 5K today. 6 months ago, I was 52 pounds heavier then i am now, had gout, and couldn't run a a block. BMI
Kinda excited. Just checked my BMI today, and for the first time in a long time i'm considered only slightly Overweight now:) #SUPERWIN. Bring on these last 23 pounds. Cheers to a healthly lifestyle and a long with my wife and kids:) 82 days in. :)

Surgery
So i have hernia surgery next week and wont be doing much of anything for the first week as i recover. Do i need to adjust down my calories for the week as i am recovering or just stick to my normal calorie in take set by the site? 8 weeks in. going well:)
