Is having a little too much protein going to hurt my diet?
I'm not very good at how every macro affects my body and I'm just wondering if someone could tell me simply if it will hurt my weight loss. MFP is saying to eat 707g of protein per week, but I would be eating 804g, is this OK or should I try to reduce it?

Best supplements to aid weight loss?
I'm currently taking vitamin B complex, multivitamin, omega 3 fish oil and green tea extract. I'm wondering if these actually do anything for me or am I just wasting money?

I'm almost back where I started
Just need to vent. I've struggled with my weight since I was a kid, always being the fat one in class and I honestly never thought that would change, but at around 28yo I finally found the strength to lose weight, in total around 8st (50kg) in the space of 2 years. Since then I've been up and down constantly, however now I…

I'm finally bouncing back
A few years ago I lost around 100lbs, and managed to maintain for about a year but since then I've been gaining back. My weight has gone from 320lbs > 204lbs > 255lbs > 243lbs (current). I made a post last year talking about my depression and how it was a big factor in my weight gain as I comfort ate a lot, I'm happy to…

Well, I'm obese again
And I feel like *bleep*. Long story short I was 320lbs back in July 2014, by July 2016 I was 205lbs and I felt great, fast forward to today and I'm 244lbs and I feel awful. My depression has been really bad so I've been comfort eating a lot and this is the result. I've known for awhile I had gained a lot of weight, the…

Do you struggle more with the calories or macros?
For me I always have calories to spare, but I'm always capped out on carbs, fat etc. I try to stay in the green on everything so more often than not I end the day 200+ calories under my target.
-
Jeez, it sneaks up on you doesn't it?
I've been maintaining for awhile now after losing 7.1 stone (100lbs) but over this last month I've gained half a stone (7lbs), it's scary at just how easy it is to go back to old habits, it's entirely my fault, I've not been logging, weighing my food or doing anything right if I'm honest so I have no one to blame but…

Are there any workouts aimed at people with Hypothyroidism?
My Mother has Hypothyroidism and she's looking for a workout DVD or plan that may help her, we've been reading that adding strength to the cardio is really important when you have Hypothyroidism but we can't seem to find anything on the right balance. She's very much someone who likes to follow a DVD or even Youtube video…

5xl > large
I've finally gotten down to a regular large in t-shirts/shirts etc, not a single X in sight! When I started back in July 2015 I honestly thought I'd give up after 3 - 4 days like I had every other time so no one is more shocked than I am that I'm nearly 90lbs down and so close to my goal weight. I always dreamed of wearing…

I really don't understand my body
I'm happy, but confused. Over the holiday I fell off the wagon massively, over the course of the week I ate the following: 2 tins of Quality Street, 4 tubs of Pringles, about 2 packets of shortbread and a few beers and other bits, on top of my usual meals yet I didn't gain a single lb? I have been dreading the scale for…

Is diet Pepsi really OK to have on a diet?
I've been on this diet for about 1.5 years now, floating between 85 - 90lbs lost (still aiming for just under 100lbs but struggling over the holiday) and I've only drank water in this time and it's getting super boring. We bought some diet soda for the kids and I tried it and it's OK, not like the real stuff but I was…

Calling all formerly obese men who now lift
Hey, I'm just wondering if you guys could tell me what your initial lifts were? (day one) Deadlift, bench press, squat, rows etc. I just want to see what you guys could manage back in the beginning. I've started 5x5 stronglifts and I feel a bit embarrassed at what I can do but I guess everyone has to start somewhere.

Does anyone use Frylight?
Apparently it's 1 calorie per spray, with 5 sprays recommended. It would be good for scrambled eggs and such if it really is that low calorie and doesn't make the food taste different.

Is going over on protein actually going to hurt me?
Diet wise I mean, what negative effect does it have? I know going over on salt, sugar and fat is bad but protein doesn't seem like a big deal?

Your diet friendly sweet treats?
One of my favourites is simply 0% fat Greek yogurt with a teaspoon of strawberry jam, this is less than 100 calories for 100g of yogurt. I've also just discovered these which are lovely, Alpen Light bars:

Do you have hungry days?
The last few days I have been overeating, and not because I'm bored or the usual excuses, I'm actually hungry. I pretty much always eat the same thing day to day so I shouldn't be any hungrier than normal but I've been a proper piggy lately and I'll most likely gain a lb or two because of it. I'm currently 10lbs from a…

Building muscle and gaining strength at home?
I have lost a lot of weight over the past year, but I'm still very weak after abusing my body my entire life, and I'd like to start gaining muscle and strength, and hopefully fill out some of this loose skin. I have dumbbells and resistance bands and would like an at home routine, something I can just follow easily and I…

How to add calories from cooking with oil
Say I cook something in oil in a frying pan and use a TBS of oil, how would I go about adding those calories? Most of it stays in the pan and the rest gets drained on a paper towel so adding a whole TBS to my food diary seems a little OTT.

Gaining weight from exercising?
I started losing weight in July 2014, since then I have gone from 297lbs to 224lbs (as of today). I have been struggling for the past few months to lose the remaining 14lbs so I started to exercise as of Monday, I have been doing T25 which kills me but instead of losing weight I have gained 4lbs since Saturday? The lowest…

I've started to gain inches while losing weight
First off I'd just like to say I don't exercise so it's not muscle. Up until 2 months ago I was steadily losing 1 - 1.5" per month off my chest and waist but last month I stayed the same and this month I actually gained 0.5" while losing 9lbs over the last two months (75lbs total). I'm just wondering why? Could it be to do…

I reached my original today
I'm not done though, but all those months ago this is the weight I wanted to get to, so it feels great. I'm aiming to lose another stone and see how I feel then. I will just keep losing until I'm happy, my goal is to wear a large tshirt, and I'm currently a 2xl coming down from 5xl. Stone = 14lbs :D

Coccyx pain after losing weight
I've lost about 65lbs and I'm suffering a side effect I wasn't expecting, that being my *kitten* really hurts when sitting, more specifically my coccyx/tailbone. I bought a medical pillow and two layers of memory foam for my chair but I'm still in a lot of pain after sitting for awhile. It has been a problem for about two…

Yoga or pilatees DVD for lower back pain?
I'm wondering if anyone has found successes curing their back pain using a specific DVD they'd like to plug? I always put my pain down to being obese but I've lost 63lbs and I'm no longer obese but I'm still in pain every day. Something beginner friendly would be great.

Calorie counting no longer working as well
I've been losing weight purely through calorie counting for about 8 months and I pretty much always hit my 2lbs a week goal by eating what MFP told me but for the past two months I only lose 1lb a week while eating the calories for 2lbs a week. I've lost 63lbs with about 25lbs to go, have I just hit the point where my body…

Almonds putting me over my fat allowance, does it matter?
I've started having almonds daily to help with hunger and it has worked but I'm always a little over my daily allowance because of them. I've read they're a healthy fat so should I care that I'm over my macro?

Is it possible to work out the total calories from nutritional info?
This may be a stupid question but can you work out a foods calories from the nutritional info? I enjoy the freshly topped pizzas from Sainsbury's but there's no label on them so I emailed them and they gave me the following info: Energy 1176.7g Fat 10.1g Saturates 5.0g Sugars 4.9g Salt 1.63g But there's nothing about the…

Wanted this for so long...
I'm finally out of the obese category! I know BMI isn't the best indicator but not being obese has been my goal for awhile now so I'm glad to hit it. Now my next goal is my original end weight, which is 14lbs away, although I will need to lose another 14lbs on top of that so that is my final goal. I gave myself a year to…

I want to eat this whole packet of biscuits
Do you ever have those days? I'm currently wrestling with a packet of custard creams, I could happily eat the whole packet and my mouth would thank me, but my body wouldn't. I've been dieting for around 7 months now and it's very rare that I get these cravings but all I can think about today is food. I need to do something…
