Just looking for more mamas going through this. I know I have a few of you already added as friends and I'd like to add more so we can offer support and share whats worked and what hasn't, perhaps we can keep a thread going or start a group to get through these 3-4 months. The feeling of watching your baby suffer and not…

Newborn sleeping- what worked for you?
Hi, I'm new to the board coming for FF&P board and have some questions...... How long are your babies sleeping at night? Ours is sleeping 1.5-2 hour stretches. I've tried keeping her up in the evening but it doesn't seem to help. Any advice? She's quite a night owl. I know babies don't know the difference between day and…

Chiro for infants
Has anyone tried this? My midwife recommends it (with infant Chiro specialists only). They don't adjust them like they do with adults, but I'm still nervous. My girl has colic, gas and although the probiotics have helped with the crying spells.....she's still in pain. Crying out in her sleep and rarely wanting to be put…

FTM to BTDT Mom Questions....
Hi, I have quite a few questions that cross my mind from time to time, I thought a thread where first time moms can ask been there, done that Moms would be great! How much Newborn clothes do I need?
I have 4 onesies, 2 sleep sacks and 6 (0-3 month) swaddlers. I have an outrageous amount of 0-3 and 3 month old clothing. Should I get a few more newborn clothing items? We have so much clothing, I don't want to buy more.....but noticed our NB clothing is low. Not sure it matters but my husband and I were good sized…

Have you read any of these "Birth" books??
I'm trying to find a good book that keeps an open mind to the birth process. I'm neither for or against medicated or unmedicated birth (although if my past surgeries indicate anything, I assume I'll want meds  )...... Anyways, I want to be informed on my options. Have you read these books? Or does anyone know of a…

Anyone from Canada?
We're from the US, but living in Australia.......moving to Vancouver, BC in March. Babies due in May. Questions about breasts
In the first trimester I went up a size. Now at 16 weeks, they've slowed down (thank goodness). Will they continue to grow throughout the pregnancy or is the first trimester the major growth spurt? I've been told after birth and during nursing they'll explode. I ask because I've purchased 1 bra in a larger size and I don't…

Can someone explain the Belly Band?
I can still fit into my jeans, but it's not comfortable. My SIL was kind enough to buy me a belly band and I tried it on last night and I'm confused. You leave the button and zipper undone, do you pull the belly band all the way Down to your legs? I felt like it wasn't sturdy when I bent over...... Thanks

Have you exercised today?
I saw this on another board and it keeps me motivated........ I really slacked last week (it's already Monday here). Today there was a moment my nausea subsided and I dragged my butt to the gym to lift. So glad I did it, but man I hope my energy levels improve! How about you ladies??

Those who are further along, can you give me some advice?
I'm headed home and then to South Carolina to visit my nephew & family for Halloween. I'm going to go trick or treating with him and will of course dress up......... I'll be a little over 10 weeks. I'm assuming I'll be fine ordering a "normal" adult costume, just in a larger size?? What do you think? I know everyone…

Anti- Nausea medication? Have you taken it?
So, I was feeling really hopeful yesterday when I got my seabands and morning sickness vitamins. I seemed to feel better right away..... Then a few hours later the nausea returned. It is constant and I feel like I can do nothing but lie around and eat to keep rom throwing up. I have two upcoming 22 hour flights and can't…

Any other Pregnant FitBit users?
We got ours a weeks before we found out I was pregnant, but I love it. It's especially helpful now, when I'm feeling like a sloth and want to lay on the couch all day. I look down at my fitbit and see I need to TRY and make it to my 10,000 step goal........ It's a great psychological motivator. My husband and I compete on…

Benefit of Eating More: Insomnia is subsiding
Ive suffered from insomnia since I was a teenager, to the extent that I have to take medication (which I hate :grumble: ). In fact, I was headed to a sleep study in a month. In the last 2 weeks I've noticed I'm ready for bed by 10-11pm.....my mind isn't constantly racing and I've only taken my medication once. Considering…

Can someone help me with Activity Level please?
Hi, I've been eating at maintenance (and perhaps beyond during my 2 weeks in Australia) since the beginning of April. Now I'm trying to determine what my activity level is, moderate or Light as I make my 15% cut. I've just been cleared post surgery and have started lifting last week. My goal is to lift 3-4 days a week (I…

People who have had surgery: Training only one arm after sur
Weird question, I know...... I have surgery on my deltoid next week and will be in a sling for 6 weeks. Eventually, I will be able to work out and it got me thinking.....should I train the "good" left arm or not? Will it throw my body out of balance even more? For my past 2 surgeries I did not lift weights with my good arm…

To those who increased calories to increase weight loss...
How long before you saw results? During the first week or two was it a slow adjustment? My goal is 135 and/or 18% body fat. I recently saw a exercise…
