Walking El Camino?
Has anyone here walked, or in training to walk, the El Camino de Santiago in Spain (~500 miles depending on route)?

Reflux 'management'?
My son and I have been to gastroenterologists to help with reflux symptoms. One has prescribed medication and another is taking a wait and see approach. I have been successfully monitoring our food choices and reintroducing things as we go. My question is, has anyone had any success is working with a nutritionist or…

Back with a new Focus
I'm not really 'new' but I've been away for quite awhile. My original focus was to lose 35 lbs but I wasn't as serious about it as I should have been. I wanted to change without CHANGING too much of anything. You know? But a few months ago I 'accidentally' discovered a brain aneurysm and now post surgery there are mandated…

The Kid's Question
My young son recently asked me a question that I found intriguing. "What's it all for? You go to a school you'll hate for four years, graduate, go for another four years, graduate, get a job you'll probably hate, go home, then start again..." So we're curious, what do YOU think it's all for?

Which song does it....
Which song motivates your workout? Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" never fails for me... http://youtu.be/yd8jh9QYfEs Ok so I'm just trying to get more song suggestions to build upon...

Time to Man Up
Been hanging around for about 20 days. Tracking about 15 of those days. Started Jillian's 30DS but had to stop when I pulled my rotator cuff. Been using this time to track and see what makes me tick. Been reading some posts, looking at before and afters, and impressed with the desire and dedication so evident here. I'm…

Delusional or too old??
So I was telling my friend that Day 3 into 30DS I hurt my rotator cuff. She said I might be too old for 30DS and should consider a Yoga for seniors dvd. Explained that perhaps at my age I shouldn't be doing the high impact jumping jumping and such... I'm 44, I didn't think I was too old...or am I just being delusional?

Bikers?
Ok maybe not just bikers....but you're on the backroads passing through small towns when you get hungry perhaps a bit thirsty. Stop at the place with a few bikes up front, perhaps a sign saying Fish Fry and the latest beverage flashing in neon. Walk in, dust off, sit on stool, scan the very worn menu and realize fish is…

Question Mish-mash
About a week in and I've gathered a few unrelated questions that perhaps you have input on. And just so you know I'm not being lazy I am also going to search the forums. 1) P90X Shakeology - I was going to ask if the Shakeology was beneficial but found a forum string with great info. So I'd rather chew my food. 2)…

Over 40?
I'm not exactly new but dropped out and back now. I'm looking for people over 40 (I'm 44) who are looking to exchange support...ok yep I'm looking for accountability (like a cattle prod heehee).

Going in Unarmed
So I've taken the first step and weighed in this morning and it occurred to me that I feel like I'm going in to do battle unarmed. I don't have a plan. Meaning if I'm not careful I will fall flat on my face later when I'm staring into the fridge wondering what to eat. How do you start? I know it needs to be focused on one…

P90X veterans
Is the Shakeology or Recovery Drink necessary if doing P90X? Is there something equivalent you'd recomment i.e. less expensive?

How do I....
So I just started accepting a bunch of friend requests in an effort to support and be supported on this new journey. The only question I have is, how do you keep up with everyone? Just as they pop up on the regular home screen? I figure I'll eventually dwindle down the list....but I do want to support those that support.

P90X a good option?
I'm looking to begin an exercise program but need something that will incorporate alot of weight bearing exercise to help w/ decreasing bone density. Someone recommended P90X. My question is, is P90X ok to start for someone who hasn't exercised in three years? I figured I could just do what I can at the start. Thoughts?

Starting Again
Back after hiding for two months. Bone density test confirms worsening bone loss, I'm 44, doc says lose weight & exercise. So I'm back and getting ready to start again. Will start slow, track food, drink more water. Not sure on the exercise though. Any suggestions?

Self-sabotage?
I'm curious. is self-sabotage an indication that I'm not ready, or not willing, to lose weight? Curious indeed

Goofy water question
Ok I know this is goofy but when you're tracking water consumption on the food diary and it recommends 8 glasses, is that 8 - 8oz glasses? I was trying to convert the liter of water I had and was assuming the diary meant an 8oz glass as one glass...

Embarrassed to Ask....
I have to admit I have been here over a week and haven't started. I've searched the boards, 'met' a couple people and have come to the conclusion that I have no idea where to start. I can give every excuse in the book but it comes down to lack of discipline and I hate cooking. Could you tell me how/where you started?…

Need boot camp!
Joined about a week ago and skulked around reading the message boards and feeling excited for all the Success Stories. But already I'm figuring out that I'm standing in my own way of success. I don't cook so I'm realizing that making a conscious effort to eat better is difficult. It seems to be more difficult when I'm…
