Major breakouts

Hi everyone. I was wondering, has anyone else break out like crazy when restricting calories? Before I got back in the healthy living (calorie restriction, drinking water and increasing activity) my skin never had a problem. I restarted my healthy plan last week (since I had fallen waaaaay of the wagon for a few months) and now I have really break outs (white and black heads). I use acne face wash (always have) but it doesnt seem to be helping now. It is not just confined to my face either. I have been getting them all over and sometimes they are in a spot that makes them painful, like on neck or collar bone. I also have them on my upper arms.

Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, what did you do for it that you found help?

It could be due to sweating if you are exercising more,
get a good exfoliating mit and do ya whole body everytime you shower/bath.
also might be worth trying a new face wash, sometimes afetr using the same one for a long time it can become ineffective,

if it continues id probably see your doctor who may give you cream that will help clear them up x

They are most likely totally unrelated. I doubt it is from sweating, as we sweat every day even when not exercising.

    You might have folliculitis.

I found I was getting a heap of pimples lately and I never got them before. I've started cleansing my face after my workouts and moisturising and its clearing up now! I bought some facial wipes to wipe my face straight after cross fit too. Its as simple as sweaty pores!

There are people who'd argue that it is due to your body detoxifying itself, but I wonder if that's a very evidence-based statement. In any case, i do think changing the type of foods you take in can have an effect on your skin. I'd ride it out for a little bit, see if it lasts. If it does, it's probably unrelated to your diet change and it might be good to try a new face wash etc. It also could be due to changing seasons - in the fall, my skin always gets a lot drier and breaks out more. After a couple of weeks, it adjusts.

Thank you everyone for the ideas.

I I made a dermatology app for tomorrow. What bothers me the most is most of the breakouts are in hair line as well as temples.

I had an issue with breakouts over 2 yrs ago. I thought it was my diet change and increased workouts. It was completely unrelated. Found out it was a soap change we made at home. went back to the old stuff and no breakouts.

I'm having the same problem, but I think mine is from lack of exercise not excess lol
