Am I understanding this right???

I am trying to lose weight. My calorie goal is 1.5 lb per week which I understand to be a 750cal deficit per day.
If I wanted to eat at my "maintenance calories" for a day or two I could eat 750 calories more than what MFP currently says and theoretically not gain or lose (I know scale might show water weight)
