Trying to make some stuffed peppers and need some advice on the best way to cut the pepper in order to preserve the bell end. I'm cooking for some friends and want to impress everyone with how much meat I can put into the bell end.

Ive done both ways..if you want to stuff more of your sausage meat into it I suggest cutting just around the top in a circle maybe inch and a half diameter and forcing in all the meat ..you might need to poke a few times to be able to force more in ..

    Good luck

    whaaahahahahaaa well done Jo.

Um I mean I dont know what help Id be but its basically like making a Jack O Lantern without the muscle work and probably more dexterity. I made them once and the only problem I had was I had too much leftover meat and rice.

Also if youre a Costco member I think they make an affordable, worth the money version in their deli so thats why Ive never made them again since but yeah I understand you wanna put the top on and make em look cute

Tip, save extra mixture, fill in the rest of the pan with garlic, butter and/or olive oil, and pack it full of your favorite mushrooms, then bake. Makes an awesome side for the peppers.

The more meat the merrier. I'm always looking for ways to get more meat into my pepper.
This is about veggies and the culinary arts right?!

I heard a story once about a girl who stuffed her pepper with squash.

I like the looks of the ones laying down, if I wanted more meat, I'd just shove it in my mouth.

Like stuffing the meat in the bell?

    You've saved Thanksgiving! Thanks Jo!

    You're welcome...

Tip..if you have too much meat..shove it in some squash or zucchini.... thats really good too.

    Happy Thanksgiving

After cutting off, the pepper's tops; I'd cut off the usable pieces & then add them, to any extra filling; as a separate meal later! If there wasn't any extra filling, I'd then just garnish the peppers; with them!
