Let's Talk Supplements

Options
Hey guys, pretty new to this whole thing but I wanted to get a thread going on supplements that you may consider "must haves" , but also those you would tell everyone to stay the heck away from!

Wanted to do this today as I just purchased Jym protein this morning and I'm pumped about trying it out.

Leave your supplement stack or just a list of faves and a brief overview

    Creatine
Protein Powder - if you call that a supp.
BCAA - controversial topic. Haha.... I'm at least going to finish off what I have first then I'll decide if I'm buying more.
Karbolyn - again this is a preference for re-up of glycogen stores post workout.

I'm on the fence about BCAA as well, I'm using beyond raw right now but I've been reading different info on the whole BCAA controversy in general

The only studies that have shown a benefit to using them had people on a very low calorie and very low protein diet.

    Supplements worth taking

    Creatine
Protein powder (for convenience or if you have protein issues, but check www.labdoor.com for quality JYM is not that high on the list).
    Multivatmin
Fish oil (only if you don't get much in your diet).

If you take a protein powder, you get all your BCAAs you need.

I would add Vitamin D to that list for those who don't live somewhere where they get enough sunshine.
